Which places are the most deceptive when traveling in China?
I have traveled to many places in China over the years, and there are many places that have given me a second check-in, such as Lugu Lake, Wugong Mountain, Wuyuan, etc.; I have also encountered deceptive scenic spots, such as Xuexiang, La. Shihai, Weizhou Island, etc. I will talk about my experience in detail below.
1. Xuexiang, Hailin City, Heilongjiang Province.
I am from the south, so I have always longed for the scenes of snowflakes falling in the north, because I heard that Xuexiang was very famous at that time, and the snow there was so thick that it could even cover a house. I went to Xuexiang the winter before last.
Due to seasonal reasons, Xuexiang is only open for three months a year. It opens in November every year and ends in early February of the next year. The local tour guide blatantly called this period of time "nine months to sharpen the knife and three months to slaughter the sheep." Compare tourists to sheep. If you don't leave the hair on your body, you won't be able to go home. Because of this, I thought that I would not be cheated if I traveled independently without joining a tour group, so I booked hotels and formulated strategies for the entire journey.
Perhaps because of its popularity, it is very difficult to book a hotel online, and the price is also very expensive. An ordinary hot bed costs several hundred yuan, an ordinary family hotel costs thousands, and a hotel is even more expensive. Three thousand was considered a bargain. I had no choice but to take my annual leave, so I gritted my teeth and booked an ordinary family hotel for five nights. It cost me four to five thousand, which was so painful.
I thought it would be fine if the accommodation was a little more expensive, but I would save some money on food, drinks and entertainment, and just go see the scenery. What I didn't expect was that eating there was extremely expensive. Stir-fried vegetables cost fifty or sixty yuan, vegetables with meat cost at least a hundred yuan, and whole meat dishes cost several hundred yuan. The food is like this, not to mention other entertainment facilities. Dog sledges, skiing, tubing, snowmobiles, etc. all cost a few minutes starting from 100. They are expensive and not satisfying. You can only play in the snow for free. .
In addition, the attitude of the locals in the scenic area is also very bad, as if they owe them money, and they don't treat you well.
After this trip, everyone can’t afford it without starting at 6,000 or 7,000 yuan, and they have to accept bad service attitude. I will never go there again in the future, just to see the snow scenery in the north. There are so many places, there is no need to spend money to find something to do.
Summary: The scenery is really good, and the snow layer is also very thick. If you just talk about the scenery, you can still come here. But the consumption is ridiculously high, and prices are several times higher than outside. If you plan to come here, you need to prepare sufficient funds, or you can just come here to play in the snow instead of doing projects.
2. Lashihai, Lijiang City, Yunnan Province.
It is said to be a sea, but it is actually a swamp, overgrown with weeds, littered with garbage, and muddy on the roads. Not to mention the price of boating is expensive, the time is short, and there is nothing to see, no It was finished in a moment. Horseback riding only costs you a hundred or two hundred bucks to lead you around for one or two laps. It’s also not interesting. I feel like I’ve been deceived by the polished pictures on the Internet. There are also several better sea-viewing spots that are occupied by fee-based projects, and the bird-watching corridors are all blocked by erected fences. This place is full of commercial atmosphere and is highly not recommended.
Summary: There are many places to visit in Lijiang. You can go to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Shuhe Ancient Town, Tiger Leaping Gorge, etc. There is no need to come here to see a swamp, which will be disturbing.
3. Weizhou Island.
As a famous coastal tourist area, Beihai’s prices are much lower than those in Sanya, so many tourists choose to come here to see the sea. The most famous thing in Beihai is Weizhou Island. I also went there during May Day this year for the fame, and then I became very angry. First of all, there are a lot of tourists. You have to queue up to take the boat first, and the queue will be very long. Secondly, in terms of price, the outbound boat ticket is 165 yuan, the return boat ticket is 135 yuan, and the island landing fee is 110 yuan. The total cost is 410 yuan. There is nothing to do, but you have to pay more than 400 yuan. I have seen The most expensive scenic spot tickets. Let’s talk about the island. The whole island is not big. It can be completed by riding a bicycle in half a day. There are not many scenic spots. There are only a few churches and a few cliffs and reefs, but then they are gone. It is not very fun. Accommodation on the island is also quite expensive, with hotels costing three to four hundred and one night. It is even more expensive during holidays.
Summary: The scenery of the North Sea is pretty good, but if you don’t have enough money, it is not recommended to go to Weizhou Island. The cost is too high. There are many places to play in the city. If you want to see the reefs and cliffs You can also go to Guantouling Forest Park to see it. I have been there and found that the scenery is particularly beautiful, including cliffs and rocks, sunrise and sunset, lighthouse waves, etc. I often see people taking wedding photos.
After going through many minefields, I have concluded that cheating scenic spots generally have the following characteristics.
1. Tickets are not uniform, and consumption is guaranteed.
It can be seen that the simple ticket is just the basic admission ticket. If you want to have a better playing experience, you need to spend more money. For example, there are other small tickets in the scenic area, which are more fun and beautiful. Places require additional payment, induced consumption, etc.
2. The service attitude of the scenic spot is not good.
Whether it is the ticket inspector, the conductor or the staff of the entertainment projects inside, the attitude towards you will not be very good. They have been used to this attitude towards people, so they cannot change it.
3. Prices in the scenic area are higher than those in other scenic areas.
Generally speaking, the price of scenic spots is one or two times higher, but the most deceiving scenic spots are three or four times higher. The price is unbearable.
4. Travel websites are not highly rated.
This very intuitively reflects the minds of tourists who have visited and can be used as a reference.
To avoid pitfalls, make these preparations before traveling.
1. Buy tickets and book hotels in advance.
This is the most important step. If you don’t want to spend more money, you need to buy the hotel and tickets online in advance. When you get there, you can stay directly and get the tickets to enter the venue without wasting extra time.
2. Prepare some food to satisfy your hunger.
Food in scenic spots is generally very expensive. You can buy dry food in advance, such as self-heating meals, biscuits, bread, instant noodles, etc. It is clean and convenient and can fill your stomach while playing, so you can also have a lot of money left.
3. Make a strategy before departure.
You must make a guide, where to go on which day, how to play, what is the route, what special shops are there, etc., etc., all have an itinerary plan, so that you will not be confused and overwhelmed.
The above are all my opinions. I hope it can help friends who love traveling. Thank you.
