Can I stay in a homestay on a three-year multiple visa in Japan?

According to the regulations of Japanese embassies and consulates, there are several kinds of three-year multiple-entry visas.

(1), often referred to as the northeast and Okinawa visa. The visa application condition is that the individual's annual income is more than 654.38+10,000 yuan, and the corresponding materials (bank running water, personal tax payment certificate and other materials) can be provided. A prerequisite for this visa is that you must spend the night at the place (Northeast China or Okinawa) submitted at the time of application when you travel for the first time after issuing it, and submit the hotel accommodation certificate after returning home. If there is no proof of accommodation, the embassy or consulate has the right to notify the immigration bureau to cancel this three-year visa.

Under this condition, when you go to Japan for the first time, you must stay in a regular hotel (you can't stay in a homestay, because the homestay can't issue a proof of accommodation, and even if there is one, the consulate will not admit it).

2. That is to say, three-year visa exemption is often said. The application condition is that the individual's annual income is more than 200,000 yuan, and the corresponding proof materials (bank running water, personal tax payment certificate and other materials) can be provided. There is no need to submit proof of hotel accommodation, and there is no restriction. In principle, you can stay in a homestay. But then again, if your annual income can be more than 200 thousand yuan, you basically don't need to live in a homestay.

As the saying goes, concrete analysis of specific problems is the way to solve problems. It is easy to mislead others by telling you yes or no indiscriminately.
