Job Chapter 32

Job Chapter 32

So these three men stopped answering Job because he thought he was righteous. At that time Elihu, son of Barachah of the Ramites of Buzite, was angry with Job, because Job was righteous in his own eyes and not in God. He was also angry with Job's three friends; because they could not think of an answer, they still considered Job guilty. (Job 32:1-3 Union Version)

1. Job did not realize that he was an evil person. He always focused on himself, spoke his own words, strongly advocated for his own right, and insisted on Our own righteousness is not justified by God’s righteousness. But not once did he discover that he was a person who was hostile to God, resisted God, or despised God. He was a person who established himself. Instead, he thought that God had treated him unfairly and wrongly.

2. When we advocate our own ideas, we are deceived by Satan's ideas. He has already stood in the same position as Job and has become a person who is hostile to God. He has abandoned his original position of being all evil.

Romans 10:2 I can testify that they have zeal for God, but not according to true knowledge.

Romans 10:3 For those who do not know the righteousness of God and seek to establish their own righteousness do not submit to the righteousness of God.

Only when we break away from our own righteousness and return to a position where we are all evil can we regard God as righteousness and accept God’s righteousness.
