Travel through the corridor of time and touch the warmth of your old days in the modern world - A trip to Xi'an (full guide)

? Before I have been to Xi'an, this is what I pictured in my mind today's Xi'an and old Chang'an: there are ancient ruins everywhere, going back as far as the Han and Tang Dynasties; the carved window lattice, the exquisite door fronts The stone drum; the beautifully engraved broken stele is used as a step for ordinary people to cross the threshold; the stone slab used by the women by the river to wash their clothes is actually engraved with Wang Xizhi's "Preface to the Lanting Collection"; the "tap-tap" sound of horses can be heard from Zhuque Street. The dust passed by, and the great poet Du Mu drank Xifeng wine and sang: "The concubine on the red dust is laughing, no one knows it is the lychee coming"...

Of course, all this is what I mean After walking out of the station, the smoke disappeared and I stood on the tree-lined streets of Xi'an: Bicycles lined up neatly on the sidewalk; modern buildings that were not high and somewhat old; store owners shouting at the roadside; buses coming and going all reminded me. The past I wanted to step into has become history forever. I temporarily changed my plan of wandering around the city and started to walk into the heritage culture that carries the depth of history.

? Whether it is the literary and artistic Big Wild Goose Pagoda, the Bell and Drum Tower that evokes old memories, or the ancient and sturdy city wall, it takes me through the Huaqing Palace in the prosperous period of the Tang Dynasty, the uniform Terracotta Warriors and Horses, and the steep and beautiful Huashan Mountain. They all give passers-by like me a different experience and feeling. This ancient capital that was once the dynasty of past dynasties has a history of thousands of years and the mystery it should have!

Day 1: Big Wild Goose Pagoda - the city that never sleeps in the Tang Dynasty

Big Wild Goose Pagoda: The Wild Goose Pagoda and the statue of Master Tripitaka at night. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda was built in Ci'en Temple. It mainly displays the relics and shell-leaf scriptures brought back by Xuanzang from his travels to various countries. The tower is the best place to view the scenery of Xi'an!

Big Wild Goose Pagoda Lighted Water Curtain Fountain: It has many "best in the world" and the scene is spectacular and dazzling! Starts at 8pm, 20 minutes in total!

Recommendations: Big Wild Goose Pagoda, the City that Never Sleeps, Tang Furong Garden, Xiaxi History Museum It can be left for one day, because it only takes about 20 minutes to walk between each other. On the day I went, Datang Furong Garden was under maintenance and I was not able to enter the garden. Here is a reminder for babies who want to visit the Xiaxi History Museum: reserve tickets online one week in advance. Tickets are free. Ticket purchases and queuing are not accepted on site.

The next day: Huaqing Palace - Terracotta Warriors and Horses

Huaqing Palace Garden: After five eras, the Huaqing Palace was built at the foot of Lishan Mountain, formerly known as Lantian Mountain. Speaking of Lishan Mountain, babies must remember the sentence: "Looking back at Chang'an, there are piles of embroidery, and thousands of gates are opened on the top of the mountain." It refers to the scenery of Lishan Mountain. Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty and Concubine Yang once took an oath, bathed and said goodbye here. A piece of history with untold joy and bitterness!

Song and Dance Hall

Imperial Concubine Begonia Soup: Legend has it that Concubine Yang has three beauties: beauty when bathing, beauty when out of bath, and beauty when drunk! This is her bathing pool, which is more than 1,200 years old according to historical records

Ancient source of hot springs: the stones in the pool are all Lantian jade

There are three pits in the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. The number pit has been repaired most completely.

Warriors of Generals

Recommendation: There is a special line to Huaqing Palace and Terracotta Warriors in the Xi'an Railway Station Square. The whole journey takes about 40 minutes. After getting on the bus, be sure to take a photo of the license plate number in case something falls off the bus and can be easily retrieved. The Hunan beauty we were traveling with this time forgot her suitcase in the car. Because neither of us remembered the license plate number or even the color of the car, it took us half an afternoon to find it.

The third day: Bell and Drum Tower - City Wall - Forest of Steles

Recommendations: Bell and Drum Tower, Yongning Gate of the ancient city wall, Forest of Steles They can be placed together in one day. You can rent a bicycle to go around the ancient city wall for about 2-3 hours. It took me 2.5 hours to walk half of it, and I looked around while walking.

Day 4 and 5: Huashan

The most steep Canglong Ridge

You can see all the small mountains from the top of the mountain

Middle Peak Sunset

Sunrise

Suggestion: I climbed Huashan Mountain during the day and stayed one night on the mountain, so I saw the sunset on Zhongfeng . If time is tight, you can also climb Huashan Mountain at night. The speed is faster at night because you won’t be looking around. It only takes 5 or 6 hours to reach the Dongfeng Sun Viewing Platform. Be sure to wear thick clothes when waiting for the sunrise. , it was very cold at night on the top of the mountain, anyway I rented a cotton coat.

1. All scenic spots can hire a guide at the entrance of the scenic spot. This will save a lot of money. Of course, you can just read my previous travel notes without spending any money. I think it is better than the guide. More detailed.

Special snacks: These snacks are all found by my sister and me walking around the streets. They are not eaten in the midnight or in Huimin Street. Personally, I think the least delicious is the meat sandwich, and the most delicious is the cold skin. However, no matter whether it is delicious or not, when you go to a place, you must try it!

Super cost-effective pomegranates, 7 yuan per box, bought at the bus station outside the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. Many aunties were selling them with baskets. The picture also does not include two good-quality gifts given to teammates. I really want to find a car to pull them with!

Accommodation: Because I am a member of Home Inns, and this trip advocates the policy of being diligent and thrifty, I stayed at Home Inns throughout the whole trip except for the night in Huashan, and the average nightly price was only 120 after discount. It’s about 100 yuan (low season). Later, I will consider choosing a B&B to experience every place I visit.

Youth Inn at the foot of Huashan Mountain, the price is about 100 yuan (off season), the location is very good, only 300 meters away from the entrance of Huashan Mountain

New friends:

xia Wei Chen from Nanyang whom the West Museum met: At that time, I was lying on the iron railing outside the Shaanxi Museum. Because it was too high, I could only look through the gap in the railing. I thought it didn’t matter if I couldn’t get in, so I took a photo. It was a souvenir. When I turned around, I saw Wei Chen, who was polite and wearing glasses, taking a photo with his mobile phone, so I asked him to take a photo for me. Knowing that we were traveling alone, we walked together for only one stop. Visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. I asked him to send me a photo to use in the guide, so he sent me this one. I made fun of it because it didn’t look like a travel photo, but like a blind date photo. He said seriously that it was almost useless because it was too ugly, haha... Background It’s the sweet-scented osmanthus tree by the Huaqing Pool, and you can smell the fragrant osmanthus.

Big Wild Goose Pagoda got to know Niannian Youyu from Qingdao: This friend I met as a tour guide at the Big Wild Goose Pagoda Partnership. Because I was on a business trip and took some free time to visit, we followed the tour guide to look back at the past and present life of the Wild Goose Pagoda. , sitting together under the towering tree in Ci'en Temple, and Wei Chen, talking about each other's travel and life experiences, the sun shines through the gaps in the trees and forms light spots of different shapes on the ground, and the breeze blows gently, at that time, my heart The most peaceful, because there is no worry, no anxiety, only sharing!

Please take the initiative to ignore my sister’s height and this rubbish one-piece suit^_^

Huaqing Palace knows the gentle and beautiful beauty Ya Pei from Xiangxi, Hunan, and will always remember the two of us. Because we met late and had a great conversation, I forgot my suitcase in the minibus. I couldn’t remember the color and license plate number of the minibus. Then I spent half the afternoon like headless flies and felt so relieved to finally find it! Sometimes traveling is full of fun and content just because of these unexpected little accidents.

I met Wuyingji, a handsome guy from Foshan, Guangdong who loves hiking at the foot of Huashan Mountain. I admired his strength from the bottom of my heart. When I climbed up the stone stairs tremblingly, he He threw me a long distance at a trot speed, and then turned back to take pictures for me. Because we both like to play while climbing and do not require speed, we were in harmony along the way, and both of us agreed that climbing mountains in the daytime is more interesting. Listening to him all the way They all regret that this living landscape painting cannot be photographed! (It has been nearly a month since I came back, and he is still traveling around. He is truly worthy of his online name)

Shanghai Ruannuo girl 33 whom I met at the Dongfeng Hotel in Huashan: The wind started blowing at the top of the Dongfeng Peak at dusk. A cold breeze came and penetrated from my collar to my feet. I completed the check-in formalities as quickly as possible and hurriedly entered the room. The little girl in the lower bunk saw that I had brought a small waist bag and guessed that I had brought a lot of things. It was not complete, so she handed over her cleaning and skin care products to share with us. In the early morning, we sat side by side and watched the moon hanging in the sky, watched the sun slowly rise, and welcomed the dawn of a new day together. How wonderful it was!

Every encounter with people or scenery is God’s arrangement, and every companionship has its own unique meaning! In the river of time, maybe it is just a moment, but countless moments make up a long and short life!
