Dragon boat festival related legends
First, in memory of Qu Yuan.
This statement originated from the records of Wu Jun in the Southern Dynasties and Liang Zonggu in the Southern and Northern Dynasties in the Time of Jingchu. According to legend, Qu Yuan threw himself into the Miluo River on the fifth day of May, and was trapped by a dragon after his death. The world is sad about this, so whenever he arrives at this day, he will throw five-color silk zongzi into the water to drive away the dragon. There is also a legend that after Qu Yuan threw himself into the Miluo River, the local people immediately rowed for rescue and searched all the way to Dongting Lake, but did not find Qu Yuan's body. It was rainy at that time, and all the boats on the lake gathered near the pavilion on the shore. When people learned that they were salvaging Dr. Qu, they went out in the rain and rushed into the vast Dongting Lake. In order to mourn, people rowed on rivers, and later it gradually developed into a dragon boat race. Eating zongzi and racing dragon boats on the Dragon Boat Festival seems to be related to commemorating Qu Yuan. Here is the poem "Dragon Boat Festival" written by Wen Xiu in the Tang Dynasty as evidence: "The festival is divided into Dragon Boat Festival, which is said to be Qu Yuan. It is ridiculous that the Chu River is empty and cannot be washed directly. "
Second, in memory of Wu Zixu
The second legend of the Dragon Boat Festival, which is widely circulated in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, is to commemorate Wu Zikan in the Spring and Autumn Period. Wu Zixu, a famous Chu national, and his father and brother were all killed by the King of Chu. Later, Zixu abandoned the dark and went to Wu to help Wu to attack Chu, and entered the capital city of Chu in the Five Wars. At that time, King Chu Ping was already dead. Zixu dug a grave and whipped 300 bodies to avenge his father's murder. After the death of He Lu, the king of Wu, his son Fu Cha succeeded to the throne. Wu Jun's morale was high and he was defeated by Yue. Gou Jian, the King of Yue, made peace, and Fu Cha agreed. Zi Xu suggested the complete elimination of Yue, but Fu Cha didn't listen. Wu was massacred and bought by the state of Yue. He was framed by slanderers. Fu Cha believed him and gave him a sword. Zi Xu died. Zixu, a loyal minister, feels like death. Before he died, he said to his neighbors, "After I die, I will gouge out my eyes and hang them on the east gate of Jason Wu, watching the Vietnamese army enter the city and destroy Wu." Then he killed himself. Fu Cha was furious after hearing this. On May 5th, he wrapped Zixu's body in leather and threw it into the river. Therefore, it is said that the Dragon Boat Festival is also a day to commemorate Wu Zixu.
Third, in memory of the filial daughter Cao E.
The third legend of the Dragon Boat Festival is to commemorate Cao E, the filial daughter of the Eastern Han Dynasty, who saved her drowning father. Cao E was a native of Shangyu in the Eastern Han Dynasty. Her father drowned in the river and didn't see her body for several days. At that time, Cao E, the filial daughter, was only fourteen years old, crying day and night by the river. 17 days later, he also threw himself into the river on May 5, and fished out his father's body five days later. This was passed down as a myth, and later it was passed down to the county magistrate, who set up a degree as a monument for disciple Han Danchun to make a eulogy.
The tomb of the old woman is now in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, and a monument was written by Pu. Later, in order to commemorate Cao E's filial piety, Cao E Temple was built where Cao E threw himself into the river. The village where she lived was renamed Cao E Town, and the place where Cao E died was named Cao E River.
Four. Commemorative tapestry
According to the textual research of Shanxi historical scholars, Taigui was a water conservancy official in the era of Emperor Zhuan Xu, earlier than Dayu.
At that time, the front of the stage was fighting for water control, and the north and south rushed to divert water, and all the way to Lingshi Mountain was blocked. Tai Qian led his troops to fight on Lingshi Mountain, and the drainage project was extremely difficult. People eat and live in the mountains day and night and dig mountains.
At that time, the water was full and there was no boat. When Wang Yu was in charge of water control, he walked around on foot, so he didn't enter the house three times. According to textual research, the water control in front of the stage was earlier than that in Dayu, and the water control in front of the stage was mainly based on water division. The history and legend of water control are only circulated in Shanxi, and Dayu is in charge of the Yellow River, so Dayu's footprint and achievements in water control are greater than Taiqian's. Every household on both sides of the Fenhe River has laborers working with Taiwan Province to control water. In order to ensure that the grain can be delivered to the construction site on time, so as not to delay and affect people's food safety, people have come up with a way to transport grain by water. The grain is wrapped in bamboo barrels and reed leaves, boarded a raft and sent downstream to the hands of water conservancy workers. On the way, many foods were also eaten by fish and shrimp in the water. With the flow of population, this kind of food soon spread to the Han nationality.
Now in Shaanxi, on May 5th, people will pay homage to Shen Feng, and Zongzi is one of the sacrifices.
Verb (abbreviation of verb) commemorates meson push
According to legend, Jin Wengong Zhong Er was exiled for nineteen years, and the minister of meson tui secretly cut off the meat on his leg and cooked it for Zhong Er. Later, Zhong Er returned to China and called him Jun, paying tribute to all the princes and ministers who went into exile with him, except Jie Zitui. Jiezi pushed his old mother to Mianshan to live in seclusion without seeking an official position. Later, when Zhong Er found out about it, he regretted it and went to Mianshan to look for it himself, but Jietui refused to leave the mountain. Zhong Er reluctantly ordered the release of Yamakaji, trying to force him to step down. Who knows that the fire burned for three days, and meson tui was burned alive along with the tree and mother. In memory of him, every family planted willows on the eaves during the Dragon Boat Festival. People call this kind of willow inserted in the eaves "evocation willow".
The ancient Dragon Boat Festival, after thousands of years of evolution and inheritance, has long been one of the important traditional festivals of the Chinese nation, with diverse activities and rich connotations. Nowadays, when people celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival, they inherit a culture and continue the folk customs. Its heavy historical and cultural atmosphere is to commemorate our splendid civilization.
