Introduction to Cangyuan Tourism in Lincang City, Yunnan Province

There are two flights from Cangyuan to Kunming every morning, and the flights will be temporarily increased during holidays. The airport is 26 kilometers from Cangyuan County. There are buses available for 30 yuan per person. It is more than 700 kilometers from Kunming to Cangyuan. It is an expressway from Kunming to Xiangyun, and the rest are secondary highways. There are two buses a day between Kunming and Cangyuan, and the fare is about 300 yuan. There is no train service yet. There are also buses running to and from Lincang, Dali, Baoshan, Shuangjiang, Fengqing, Zhenkang, Yunxian, Gengma, Mengding and other places every day. Highway transportation is convenient. There are many taxis in the city, and the starting fare is 5 yuan.

There are many hotels in Cangyuan, including Menluo, Jinwa, Dongfangyi, Jialinsai, Hongchang, etc. The first two are more than 200 yuan during non-holidays, and the rest are basically within 200 yuan. The airport bus stops at the entrance of the stadium and is very close to other hotels. Basically it takes less than ten minutes to walk.

The main food is the flavor of Wa and Dai people. There is a Wa King Banquet in the local area. In places such as Hulu Town and Qingshuwan, the fee is per person. On non-holidays, the fee is less than 100 per person. Others are Wa and Dai restaurants opened by locals, as well as restaurants opened by outsiders in Sichuan, Baoshan and Dali. Wa food is mainly based on ground food, as well as roasted meats and stir-fried meats. The famous ones include rotten chicken and rice.

Tourist attractions include the Wengding Wa primitive tribe, Menglai Chinese Painting Gallery, Sigangli Cave, Tiankeng, and Cliff Painting Valley. You can also go to Yonghe Port, which borders the Wa State of Myanmar. Nangunhe Nature Reserve is still in its infancy.

The Wengding primitive tribe is more than 20 kilometers away from the county seat. From the county seat, you can hire a taxi or join a travel agency. It mainly has relatively well-preserved Wa houses. The Chinese Painting Corridor, Siganli Cave, Cliff Painting Valley and Tiankeng are all located in Menglai Township, which is more than 20 kilometers away from the county town, and can be visited by chartered car. Yonghe Port is 13 kilometers away from the county seat.

The most famous festival here is "Touch Your Darkness", which is held every May Day and is synchronized with the annual holiday schedule. Then the "New Rice Festival" is held every year on National Day to celebrate the harvest. There is also the Water Splashing Festival, but it is smaller in scale and takes place in the center of the county.
