Shenkeng Hotel Planning

As early as 2006, Shenkeng Hotel was established, but as a worldwide architectural problem, there is no precedent in the application of underground space, geological investigation and study, and management after completion. Shimao Group spent seven years in scientific demonstration.

Building such a deep pit hotel with huge height difference is an extremely complicated and huge project. Because of its "depth", it will also bring many architectural technical problems, including fire prevention, waterproof, earthquake resistance and so on.

Government urban planning units have reconsidered and formulated many building codes because they have never faced such buildings before. In order to make this project another architectural miracle in the world, the developer hired the Atkins team led by Martin Jochman, the world's top designer who designed the Dubai Sailing Hotel, as the architectural design, and the China Construction Eighth Bureau was responsible for the construction.

Shenkeng Hotel has three floors above ground, 17 underground and one floor underwater, and there are bungee jumping and other entertainment projects. The total investment is about 600 million yuan, including natural indoor gardens, large scenic waterfalls, scenic presidential rooms, underwater scene rooms and so on. The hotel is 65 meters above sea level and is expected to become the lowest artificial pit hotel in the world.
