Me and the Juhua Numismatic Research Association (3)

--I have been in Quzhou for 20 years (forty-four)

In order to implement the activities of the members of the research association We actively contacted and negotiated with the company’s trade union at the communication venue. The company’s trade union provided an activity room for our research group for free on the second floor of the trade union club in the living area. We named it “Juhua Coin House” and hosted it by our research association ourselves. Management, it opens at 2 pm every Sunday. Stamp and coin enthusiasts can set up stalls here to sell and exchange stamps, coins, etc. Every Sunday morning, there are street stalls selling antiques and coins on Xinqiao Street in front of the Confucius Temple in Quzhou City. In the afternoon, some stall owners go to the "Juhua Coin Home" to set up stalls. All stamp and coin enthusiasts in Quhua can come here. Exchange information and exchange collections.

December 15, 1996 was the first opening day of the "Juhua Coin House". We held a board of directors to discuss the management methods and working principles of the "Juhua Coin House" and the research committee. We have The issuance of the "Zhu De's 100th Birthday Commemorative Coin" (face value 1 yuan) issued on November 27 from the People's Bank of Quzhou. On the first opening day, members Sun Jinfu and Shen Minou were on duty voluntarily, responsible for opening, closing and cleaning.

With this activity room of the "Juhua Coin Home", the directors of the research association basically meet here every week to communicate and arrange the work of the research association. The board of directors decided to open the meeting in January 1997. A general meeting of members will be held on May 25th. At the end of December, we only received 50 special commemorative coins for white-tip dolphins and South China tigers with a face value of 5 yuan issued on December 18 from the People's Bank of Quzhou.

At 1 pm on January 25, 1997, a membership meeting was held in the fourth conference room of Quhua Hotel. Only 52 people attended the meeting, and about 20 members did not attend. Chairman Yang Weide reported on the completion of the work plan of the 1996 Research Association. In the 7 months since the establishment of the Research Association in May 1996, the Board of Directors has worked diligently and diligently, but the work is difficult and arduous, especially the exchanges with the Issuance Department of the People's Bank of Quzhou. After spending more time and energy, and after many exchanges, we agreed that each issue of new commemorative coins would be allocated to our research association, but there was no guarantee that 100 coins would be given each time; the "Coin Research" newspaper published 2 issues, each issue 500 copies were printed and received favorable reviews through exchanges with various associations and magazines and distribution to members; the opening of the event venue "Coin House" was completed, and a small-scale coin exhibition was held when the research association was established. The planned numismatic knowledge lectures have not been completed; the establishment of the academic committee has not been completed.

Mr. Yang also informed about the work plan of the research association in 1997, continuing to run the "Numasis Research" newspaper, managing the "Coin House" well, and expanding the scope of members' activities, especially in the research of coins. To strengthen and communicate, members should be organized in a planned way to visit and communicate with collectibles markets in Jinhua, Shanghai and other places.

I reported on the financial income and expenditure of the research association, introduced the member groups and the list of group leaders, explained the work of the group leaders, and put forward requirements for members not to participate in activities organized by the research association.

Wu Xiangang gave a report on "Silver Coin Collection", especially his experience in collecting silver coins of the Republic of China, commemorative silver coins issued by our country and zodiac silver coins.

Gong Zeqiu and Chen Li'an also reported their experience in collecting coins and the methods and techniques of foreign currency collection.

The research association issued one special commemorative coin each for the white-tip dolphin and the South China tiger to each member. The quantity of these two commemorative coins obtained from the People's Bank of Quzhou was not enough, so the research association could only purchase them from the market and reissue them. To members.

We work and live hard and do what we like because of our love. Everything we do is not to let others see us, but to let ourselves see the world. When we go step by step As we move forward, we will find that every step we take in life will make our life thicker. The ancients said, "It's not that there is no water in the well, but that you don't dig deep enough. It's not that success comes slowly, but that you Not trying hard enough”. In work and life, we need to suffer more, work harder, persevere more, and be less opportunistic, so that we can live in this world in a down-to-earth manner.
