Urban Construction of Yangshuo Town

Yangshuo Town is an ancient city built in 1408, and the construction of the old city is very backward.

From the Sui Dynasty to the Tang Dynasty, the Five Dynasties, the Song Dynasty and the Yuan Dynasty, no city walls were built for more than 700 years. In the seventh year of Yuan Dynasty (1347), the city wall was built, four gates were opened, and an enemy tower was built on the city.

During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, in addition to perfecting the four city gates in the east, south, west and north, the city walls continued to be raised.

There was no political achievement in the Republic of China, so the city was demolished and the watchtower was built.

On the eve of liberation, the east city wall was preserved, the north and south cities were basically intact, and the west city wall was destroyed, leaving only a small piece. At that time, there were about 500 steps from east to west in the south and 900 steps from north to south, with less than 3000 residents. At that time, a pair of folk couplets "half like a country and half like a shop, which can be used for business and farming" was a true portrayal at that time.

After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), the people's government allocated funds for many times to repair it, and Yangshuo County took on a new look. By the 1980s, the urban area reached 1.5 square kilometers, including Xianqian Street and Jiexi Street, Rongyin Road, Guihua Road, Chengzhong Road, Chengbei Road, binjiang road and Lianfeng Lane.

From 65438 to 0999, Chengguan Township and Yangshuo Town merged, urban construction developed rapidly, and the transformation of the old city was fully implemented. Slate roads were paved in Xianqian Street, New and Old West Street, Guihua Road and binjiang road, and 100 vehicles of environmental protection batteries were used as the transportation of the county, thus completing the lighting project and the overall greening zone of the county. The county government has planned to move the units directly under the county out of the old city and build the whole old city into a "big park", taking shape.

After the implementation of community zoning in August, 2002, the urban area increased to 14 square kilometers, with an urban population of 30,574 (including 2,474 floating population), and administered over 150 county-level units and 24 town-level units. There are two streets in the urban area: Xianqian Street, Jiexi Street (among which Jiexi Street has developed into a world-famous "foreigner street" or "global village"), Rongyin Road, Guihua Road, Chengzhong Road, Chengbei Road, Armed Police Road, binjiang road, Shenshan Road, Taopan Road, Furong Road, Diecui Road, Guanlian Road, Anti-Japanese War Road, Sangyuan Road, Jingfeng Road and Yue Long Road. Development zones such as Dacunmen, Feng Ming and Dongling have been built rapidly.

In 2004, land was designated for the masses 152 households, building procedures were completed 152 households, the land area was 1025 1 m2, and the construction area was 63,554.9 m2, 3 16 state-owned land use certificates and 62 collective land use certificates were issued.

Remarkable achievements have been made in urban construction, with the county town winning the "Nanzhu Cup" for two consecutive years, the villages of Shiqianqiao, Dengziyan and Baishawan in Yangshuo Town being awarded the title of civilized health village, Taozhushan Village being awarded the title of ecological civilized village and Lianfeng Community being awarded the title of civilized community.
