Basic knowledge of hotel room management
(1) desk lamp
A desk lamp is usually placed on a desk or bedside table. There are many styles of desk lamps and lampshades. When selecting desk lamps and lampshades, the color patterns should be coordinated with indoor walls, curtains, bedspreads, sofa cover and desk lamps. When there are more than two desk lamps indoors, we should pay attention to the unity of color and style.
(2) Floor lamp
Floor lamp is a kind of movable floor lamp, which is mainly placed next to sofa and forms a center for talking, reading and resting together with sofa. Floor lamp brackets are mostly made of metal and wood. There are several kinds of lampshades, such as paper covers, silk covers, gauze covers, plastic film covers and glass covers. There are two types of light: direct light and reflected light. When resting and talking, use direct light when reading. Most of the floor lamps are western-style, but there are also some Chinese floor lamps with dragon and phoenix heads carved with wood. The phoenix head in Longkou hangs palace lanterns, which is very ethnic.
(3) Wall lamp
Wall lamp is a kind of lighting equipment installed on the wall. Its function is to supplement the deficiency of other lamps. The shape of the wall lamp should be unified with the lamps in the same room, and coordinated with the indoor style and color.
(4) chandelier
Most chandeliers are hung on the ceiling, both Chinese and western. Chinese chandeliers, represented by palace lanterns, have a unique national style and should be used in architectural halls with prominent national colors. There are many kinds of western-style chandeliers, including high-grade crystal bead lamps and various forms of metal casting chandeliers.
(5) Floor lamp (foot lamp)

The TV is generally located in the upper right of the desk, which is 10 cm away from the front edge of the desk. There is a program card on the TV boy in the middle. In addition, some hotels put the TV set on the TV stand, which is placed on the right side of the desk and parallel to the front of the desk. When the waiter cleans the TV dust every day, he should wipe the dust off the shell with a dry cloth. When cleaning the TV plane, he must first cut off the power supply and then wipe it with a soft cloth or wrinkled paper. It is necessary to debug the program of each channel, which is not only convenient for guests to use, but also can reduce the utilization rate of each channel. When the TV is not used for a long time, it should be turned on for more than three hours every two months, and it should be checked regularly to prevent the parts from being oxidized by moisture.
3. Air conditioning
Air-conditioning is the equipment to ensure the appropriate temperature and fresh air circulation in the guest room all year round.
At present, the air conditioners used in most hotels are central air conditioners, and there are air conditioning knobs or switches on the wall of each guest room or the button panel of the bedside table. Strong, medium, weak, stop? Four kinds, and a few hotel rooms use air conditioning instead of central air conditioning. Let's briefly talk about the precautions in the use of air conditioners.
(1) Close the doors and windows before turning on the air conditioner.
(2) When using cold air, the horizontal direction of the grid is the best. Because of the large amount of cold air, the indoor cold air can spread evenly when exhausting upwards as far as possible.
(3) When the air conditioner is turned off and restarted, stop for at least three minutes before running.
4. refrigerator
In order to ensure the guests' drinks, there is a refrigerator in the room to store wine and drinks. Guests can drink as needed. Fill in the room wine list after use, check it by the waiter, and then transfer it to the cashier to replenish the wine.
The refrigerator is usually placed on the right (left) side of the locker room (or desk), and some hotels put the refrigerator on the right side of the wardrobe.
Use and maintenance of refrigerators should pay attention to the following issues:
(1) The refrigerator is placed smoothly. 10-20cm away from walls and other objects.
(2) It is forbidden to store high-temperature food in the refrigerator.
(3) Beverages such as beer, soda and fruit juice should not be stored in the freezer, so as not to break the glass bottle due to liquid freezing.
(4) The refrigerator should be defrosted regularly. If the ice box mold and evaporator are frozen together, it must not be pried open with a knife or other metal instruments. A small amount of water can be poured into the evaporator to melt the ice.
(5) To clean the refrigerator, first scrub it with a soft cloth dipped in neutral detergent, then scrub it with clear water and dry it with a soft cloth. Never use chemicals such as acid, thinner, oil, alcohol and hot water to clean the refrigerator. Prevent plastic parts of refrigerator from deformation and deterioration.
(6) When putting cold boiled water in the ice box mold, don't pour the water too full, about 4/5 is enough. If the ice in the ice box mold is not finished, change the cold boiled water every 5-7 days, and change the water in the ice box mold once after the individual checks out.
