How to save money by traveling in Bali?
How to save money
1. Aviation Hotel:
If the destination is not a shopping paradise like Hong Kong, Japan, then the air ticket hotel will always be a big expense! Therefore, if you want to save money and have fun, you must be cautious. This time, I started to prepare with the belief of traveling to Bali, so this air ticket hotel has to take a long-term view. We originally planned to form a free travel group in the travel agency, but in the end we had to choose between the hotel and the flight time. Finally, we broke up cruelly.
I have browsed several booking websites, but I don't know that the choice of airlines is too regional. Air China used to be the first choice for strolling in China. Now you have to choose AirAsia to fly to Thailand. AirAsia flights are the cheapest. The round-trip ticket for my friend and me is only 1200, which is at least 4000 won cheaper than traveling with a group. Wow!
2. Accommodation: If you want to stay in a luxury hotel, go to Nusa Dua, and if you like Lijiang, choose Ubud. However, if you want to experience the original Balinese customs, you should choose various villas with complete facilities, such as gardens, swimming pools and living rooms with large roofs. But this is a bit expensive, so we decided that the cheapest one is 100 yuan a night.
3. Luggage:
Necessary items such as toothbrushes must be provided by themselves. Hotels in Bali do not provide it.
Then there is the seaside equipment: big sunglasses, umbrellas, beautiful bikinis, and most importantly, high-power sunscreen (otherwise it will really die miserably).
In addition, in order to prevent acclimatization and eating bad things, antidiarrheal drugs and mosquito repellent are essential.
There are only a few other shirts. In short, the less items you bring, the better!
4. Currency:
Because the exchange rate of US dollars against Thai baht is higher than that of RMB against Thai baht, you can first exchange RMB for US dollars, preferably 100 or 50 denominations, because the exchange rates of these two denominations are relatively high, and then exchange them for Thai baht at the exchange point in Thailand. By the way, you can't exchange them at the airport. The exchange rate there is low, which is not worthwhile! Tips are required in foreign countries, and Thailand is no exception. So you can change more banknotes with a denomination of 20 baht. Never give coins. Leave 1000 baht to pay for airport construction when returning home. Only the unused version after 1994 can be exchanged in BOC. You should pay attention to this.
5. Shopping: Even if it is not a shopping destination, it is absolutely unreasonable not to go shopping abroad. Especially the local specialties. I suggest you buy some local handmade products, such as wood carvings, various paintings, exquisite handmade gold and silver jewelry, masks, batik fabrics, and some local products such as coffee beans, curry powder, shrimp slices, essential oils, etc.
You can buy all kinds of gadgets in Ubud market, and there is a lot of room for bargaining. Tegallalang is basically a variety of handicraft shops, everything is exquisite but it is difficult to bargain. Suggest going to the Geneva Handicraft Center. Although you can't bargain, it is very cheap. Bamboo bag, essential oil, wood carving and so on. The best shopping mall there is DISCOVERY, and all kinds of brands are half cheaper than those in the mainland. Then there is DFS Duty Free Shop. Cosmetics are generally very cheap, especially Ansu and HR mascara, and skin care products are a little more expensive.
6. Eating and drinking: kuta beach can be regarded as the most concentrated place for catering in Bali. The small restaurants here are absolutely cheap, delicious and original. Steamed rice with coconut shell is full of fragrance, roast suckling pig, roast duck and fruit platter. In short, you can't miss the delicious food, but Indonesian dishes are all seasoned with coconut milk, peppers, cloves, cardamom, curry and other spices, and there is always Chili sauce on the table, which is very strong. Most northerners like it very much.
7. Have fun: Diving on the east coast of Bali is particularly exciting, but the price of different diving spots is different, ranging from almost 60 to 90 dollars. But be sure to find a diving company with a formal license. In addition, rafting is also very exciting. Personally, I think it is the most fun outdoor project. Others include jet skis, glass boats, snorkeling and other beach water sports.
The most important thing is to go to Bali to do a SPA for 2 to 3 hours, ranging from 35 to 80 dollars each time. You will feel refreshed after finishing it, just like sleeping for 9 hours.
8. In addition, temples in Thailand must be visited. Shengquan Temple and Sea Temple are very famous. My husband and I only went to Shengquan Temple, because it is said that its architectural model is grand and complete, and we can see the characteristics of all temples in Bali.
Other interesting places are Vulture Square, Uruwat, Gunung Kavi and Elephant Cave. Just visiting, don't waste too much time here.
9. Some customs must be observed. For an old tourist like me, this is natural. Don't care too much.
other
1. Visa: Passports from Bali to China are visa-free. So I saved a lot of money. I didn't ask for a tip when I met the customs.
2. The ticket out is one of the big heads. Keep an eye on the tickets for a long time, and be quick when there is a discount. If the credit card has points, you can try the points of the air ticket.
3. accommodation. Bali is famous for its luxurious hotels. There are many budget hotels, don't forget airbnb. Sharing can save some money.
4. Diet and hotels. Many luxury hotels open restaurants for travelers who don't live in hotels. You can visit hotels (especially in Bali) while looking for delicious food. The most important thing is: the food in the hotel is not expensive!
5. Rent a car. The best way to travel in Bali is to charter a car. There are many in the treasure. It really doesn't cost much if four people rent a car.
6. Insurance. This is to buy peace of mind with less money. When the worst happens, it can be guaranteed. I have met some people who took part in activities knowing the danger and then ruined their looks. Safety first!
7. Vaccines and mosquitoes. It is rarely mentioned in the guidebook. However, many people are still bitten by mosquitoes and infected with tropical diseases. It is best to vaccinate and do a good job of preventing mosquito bites. Save medical expenses and reduce tossing.
8. When you leave the airport, don't use a taxi company with an office at the airport. Death costs a lot.
