Feeding management of Qingyuan black-maned goose

Feeding period is 90 ~ 120 days. After the goslings hatch, they are fed with rice in the first 5 days, with open grain in 6 ~ 15 days, with open grain in 15 ~ 35 days, and with rice 36 days before slaughter. The brooding period of black-maned geese is 7 days in hot weather and 10 ~ 20 days in cold weather. From the time goslings leave the brooding room to fattening in captivity, they are grazing every day for about 60 days. Gosling plague vaccine should be injected from hatching to before opening, and avian influenza vaccine should be injected at the age of 10 to 15; Feed the geese once every 20 days and soak them in the valley with Chinese herbal medicines for clearing away heat and toxic materials. Fences should be cleaned once a day and disinfected once a month.

Every April, breeding geese should be plucked and fattened to promote them to lay eggs in July. Usually feed two sets of cereal to the breeding geese every day, and feed the breeding geese with cereal and green feed when laying eggs. Grazing all day when not laying eggs, grazing in the morning and evening during laying period, and grazing is not allowed during fattening period.
