Brief introduction of Xujiashan National Forest Park

Xujiashan National Forest Park, located in Baishutai, Beishan, Lanzhou City, only 3 kilometers away from the city center, is a downtown "Peach Blossom Garden" created by greening the north and south mountains in Lanzhou City.

The greening of the park began in the 1940s, and there are more than 2,000 mu of forest land such as "Gansu National Tree Species Memorial Forest Supporting Greening", "Sino-Japanese Friendship Memorial Forest" and "March 8th Memorial Forest". There are Siyuan Pavilion and historic sites on the mountain, which will be planned and built into a forest park tourist scenic spot. This move is of great significance to Lanzhou, a plateau city.

Xujiashan National Forest Park is located on the north bank of the Yellow River in Lanzhou, about 3 kilometers away from the city center, with an altitude of 1550 m-1750 m and an area of 2,800 mu. It is one of the closest forest parks in the country to the urban area, with convenient transportation. The park is surrounded by mountains and waters, with undulating mountains, lush trees, fresh air and rich cultural landscape. Many memorial forests and monuments are the most distinctive. The history of afforestation began at 1942, which is reported to be the earliest place to carry out soil and water conservation afforestation in arid barren hills in China.
