What is the voltage of the electromagnetic lock?

The design of magnetic lock (or electromagnetic lock), like electromagnet, is based on electromagnetic principle. When the current passes through the silicon steel sheet, the electromagnetic lock will generate a strong suction force, tightly absorb the adsorption iron plate, and achieve the effect of locking the door. As long as the current is very small, the electromagnetic lock will generate a great magnetic force. When the identification personnel of the access control system controlling the power supply of the electromagnetic lock are correct, the power will be cut off, and the electromagnetic lock can open the door when it loses its suction. Because the electromagnetic lock has no complicated mechanical structure and locking tongue structure, it is suitable for access control of escape doors or fire doors. Epoxy resin is injected into the lock body for protection.

Generally, the default setting of electromagnetic lock voltage is DC 12V, and the power supply current is at least about 1A, and 12V is enough. If it's too big, it's not good for the lock and it's easy to get hot, which is often the case.

You'll burn the lock.
