The 2019 Zhongshan Marathon will be held in Zhongshan City in mid-December. This year, 20,000 people are expected to participate. This marathon event will include 4 events. The event is divided into three categories, with varying lengths, and traffic control will be implemented on surrounding roads.

There are 4 events, namely full marathon, half marathon, healthy run and happy run. The track lengths are 42.195 kilometers, 21.0975 kilometers, 10 kilometers and 5 kilometers respectively. The starting and finishing points are set up on site. On the road opposite Hing Chung Road Stadium.

In order to do a good job in road traffic safety during the marathon, maintain traffic order along the race and surrounding roads, and ensure that the race is safe, orderly, and smooth, the public security and traffic police department will implement regulations at the start and end points of the race and along the route. Traffic control. The specific control measures are as follows:

1. Controlled sections of the competition route

The section from Xingzhong Road Park Intersection to Songyuan Intersection, Zhongshan 1st Road from Yuelai South Intersection to Fuhua Road Intersection, Zhongshan Road 2nd Road, Zhongshan 3rd Road, Zhongshan 4th Road, the section from the intersection of Zhongshan Road on Fuhua Road to Qijiang Bridge, Qijiang Bridge, Sunwen West Road, Sunwen Middle Road, Minsheng Road, Qiwan Road, Boai 5th Road, Boai 6th Road, Boai 7th Road , the section from the Boai intersection of Yixian Road to the Huanmao intersection, Huanmao 1st Road, the section from the Huanmao intersection of Kangle Avenue to the Century Intersection, Century 1st Road, and Huzhong Road.

2. Road Traffic Control Measures

1. From 00:00 on the 15th to the end of the race, the following times and roads will be used except for vehicles with special vehicle licenses for the 2019 Zhongshan Marathon and emergency vehicles. No other vehicles are allowed to pass except military police vehicles, fire trucks, medical ambulances, and engineering rescue vehicles:

① From 3:00 until the end of all competitions and the dismantling of the starting and finishing gate buildings (estimated to be completed by 16 :00) Traffic control will be implemented from the Tiyu intersection of Xingzhong Road to the Boai intersection.

② Traffic control will be implemented from the Zhongshan intersection of Xingzhong Road to the Tiyu intersection, Zhongshan 1st Road, Zhongshan 2nd Road, and Zhongshan 3rd Road from 6:00 to the end of the Healthy Run and Happy Run (estimated to 10:00).

③ From 6:30 until all competition teams have passed (subject to the last police car passing), the section from the intersection of Yuelai South Road on Zhongshan 1st Road to the intersection of Fuhua Road, and the intersection of Zhongshan 1st Road on Fuhua Road to Qijiang Bridge Traffic control is implemented on the road section (from west to east), Qijiang Bridge, Sunwen West Road Pedestrian Street, Sunwen Middle Road Taiping Intersection to Minsheng Intersection, and Minsheng Road.

⑥From 8:00 until all competition teams have passed (subject to the passing of the last police car), the intersection of Yixian Road and Boai Road to the intersection of Huanmao 1st Road, Huanmao 1st Road, and the intersection of Kangle Avenue and Huanmao 1st Road to Century Traffic control will be implemented at the intersection of Yiyi Road, Century 1st Road and Huzhong Road.

⑦ From 8:00 until all competition teams have passed (subject to the passing of the last police car), traffic control will be implemented on Boai 7th Road, Boai 6th Road, and Boai 5th Road from east to west.

⑧ From 9:00 to the end of the marathon (estimated to 14:30), traffic control will be implemented from the Xingzhong Road Park intersection to the Boai intersection.

Dangerous goods transport vehicles, engineering transport vehicles, dump trucks and other vehicles are prohibited from passing through the main urban area of ??Zhongshan throughout the entire day on the 2nd and 15th.

During the competition, vehicles and pedestrians passing through intersections around the marathon must obey the instructions of the police and staff, avoid entering the race route, and drive around in advance. Based on the actual situation of marathon runners passing through various traffic intersections, the traffic management department of the public security organ will gradually lift traffic controls along the route.

3. Vehicle parking arrangements

In order to ensure the safety and smooth progress of the marathon, parking of all types of vehicles is prohibited on the roads along the race, as follows:

1 and 13 From 16:00 to the end of the race, public vehicles are prohibited from parking on the roads, sidewalks and parking spaces on both sides of the marathon. Drivers are asked to drive their vehicles off the race route in advance.

2. Starting from 16:00 on the 14th, the public security and traffic management department will temporarily seal off the parking areas along the marathon, and the owners of parked public vehicles will be notified by phone to drive away. Starting from 20:00, for vehicles that have not yet left, the public security and traffic management department will use tow trucks to tow the vehicles away from the scene to a nearby temporary vehicle parking spot. The temporary vehicle tow-away parking point for the Shiqi District section is located in the Sun Wenzhong Road Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall parking lot, the temporary vehicle tow-away parking spot for the eastern section is located at the parking lot of the Municipal No. 1 Middle School Junior High School, and the temporary vehicle tow-away parking spot for the western section is located at the International Hotel parking lot. 4. Vehicles with valid parking permits, police cars, fire trucks, and medical ambulances are parked in the stadium. Other marathon runners and work vehicles can be parked at the city’s No. 1 Middle School and the south gate of Zimaling Park respectively. , Municipal Expo Center, Lihe Plaza parking lot, and both sides of Chanan Road, Shashi Road, and Xingwen Road.

3. Detour routes

Units and citizens along the competition route should make travel plans in advance and arrange detour routes to avoid affecting travel.

1. Those who drive through the competition route can pass through the following intersections:

① Yintong Street passes through the competition section (Zhongshan 2nd Road), and Qiguan West Road crosses the competition route (Zhongshan 2nd Road), Changjiang Road crosses the competition route (Boai 6th Road), and Landscape Road crosses the competition route (Boai 7th Road). Both north and south directions are allowed to pass.

② The competition route is from the intersection of Zhongshan 1st Road and Fuhua Road to the intersection of Yuelai South Road from west to east, and the competition route is from the intersection of Fuhua Road and Qijiang Bridge to the intersection of Zhongshan 1st Road from the east to west direction.

③Passage is allowed in the east to west direction from the Qiwan Road intersection of Zhongshan 4th Road to the Xingzhong Road intersection on the competition route.

④ The competition route is open to traffic from the south to north direction of Wan Road Boai Road to Zhongshan 4th Road.
