All Yunfu is "the best"
First, the world's first sulfur capital
Yunfu pyrite is a world-famous mineral resource and the largest pyrite deposit in China. Ore is famous for its large reserves, high grade and high content, ranking in the forefront of the world, so Yunfu is also known as the "Oriental Sulfur Capital". The discovery of Yunfu pyrite began in the late 1950s. Workers in Dajiangping Tin Mine dug a tunnel across the south side of the water source pit to divert water and wash ore. Two layers of pyrite were found in the tunnel and reported to the industrial department of Yunfu County Committee. At the end of the same year, Yunfu County set up a chemical plant and opened nine small tunnels in the mountains to mine pyrite. Over the years, Yunnan Sulphur Group has adhered to the circular economy development road of "combination of mineralization, simultaneous development of sulfur and iron, comprehensive development and comprehensive utilization" and actively developed the sulfur chemical industry by taking advantage of resources. It is the second batch of national circular economy pilot units, with an annual production scale of 3 million tons of raw ore, nearly 600,000 tons of sulfuric acid and 200,000 tons of phosphate fertilizer. The trademark "Yunsulfur" is a famous trademark in Guangdong Province, and the products made of "Yunsulfur" pyrite, superphosphate and inorganic acid are famous trademarks in Guangdong Province.
Second, the first and eighth sights of China
Anyone familiar with the history of China knows that any city with a long humanistic history will have its own "Eight Scenes" in history, such as "Eight Scenes of Yanjing", "Eight Scenes of Guanzhong" and "Eight Scenes of Jinyang". The local eight scenic spots culture is undoubtedly an important part of China culture. Little known is that the birthplace of local eight scenic spots culture is Yunfu, and the first local eight scenic spots in China originated from Xinxing County of Yunfu City today. At that time, the younger brother of the poet Du Fu and the husband of Prime Minister Li were demoted to Lingnan Xinzhou (now Xinxing County) to join the army. Dewey traveled in NSW for ten years, and visited all the famous mountains and rivers in NSW. Finally, he selected the scenery that he thought could represent the landscape of NSW, and wrote poems one by one, named it "Eight Scenes of Xinchang" (then Xinchang was a county under NSW). This is the earliest place in China and even in the world. As a result, the local eight scenic spots culture appeared in the history of China. In the following 1200 years, eight local scenes appeared on the land of China, which eventually became a cultural atmosphere. Looking back on its history, the rise of Yunfu is its origin.
Third, the first governor of China.
Anyone familiar with the history of China knows that in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, there were governors everywhere, such as the governors of Guangdong and Guangxi, Huguang, Liangjiang and so on. These governors were all senior government officials in ancient times, and they were important pillars for consolidating dynasty rule and maintaining social stability. Little known is that among all the local governors in Ming and Qing dynasties, the governor of Guangdong and Guangxi has the longest history, and the establishment of the governor of Guangdong and Guangxi also originated from a minority unrest in Yunfu today. It was the end of Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of Ming Dynasty. Today, Luopang Mountain in Yunan County, Yunfu City is a place where Yao, a southern minority, lives in compact communities. Since they have never obeyed the rule of Hanting, the Yao people in Luopangshan have been worshipping righteousness since the end of Yuan Dynasty, and they are enemies of Han people and Hanting. In Ming Taizu, for the first time, troops were sent to suppress the Luopangshan Yao nationality, and the Luopangyao rebellion once reached a low point. However, after the mid-Ming Dynasty, Luopangyao rebellion began to resurface, and the court sent troops to suppress it many times, but all failed. In the third year of Jingtai, in order to better suppress the Yao people, the court let Yu Qian, the minister of the Ministry of War, go to war, and Wang Ao, the governor of Guangdong and Guangxi, co-ordinate the military affairs of Guangdong and Guangxi. This is the origin of the post of governor of Guangdong and Guangxi. Since then, after orthodoxy, Hongzhi, Zhengde, Jiajing, Qin Long and other dynasties. It was not until the fourth year of Wanli that the Ming army completely put down the Luopangyao rebellion under the command of the new governor of Guangdong and Guangxi, and set up Luodingzhou, Dongan County and Xining County in Luopangshan area. Since then, the establishment of local governors by the imperial court has gradually become a political system, which lasted until the late Qing Dynasty, and had a far-reaching impact on China's politics, military affairs, system and society in the course of 400 years, and the origin of the governor system was Yunfu.
