Based on the novel of the same name by the famous writer Stephen King. The horror novelist Mike (john cusack) likes to explore haunted places with scientific equipment and collect writing materials. This time, he chose the Dolphin Hotel, and despite the strong dissuasion of the hotel manager (samuel jackson), he checked into room 1408, where several guests committed suicide. Mike experienced many terrorist incidents as he wished, which completely changed his previous view on supernatural phenomena. When he finally couldn't stand this wave of terrorist attacks and was ready to leave room 1408, the scariest thing happened: he couldn't leave after all.
