There are four ways to protect yourself and distinguish between two mirrors, and the last one is the most effective.

1, finger judgment method

You can try it with one finger, which is more convenient and simple! See if there is a distance between your finger and the finger in the mirror. Normal mirror, with a certain distance. Double mirrors, fingertips seamlessly connected. Cover the mirror with your nails. If there is a distance between the mirror and the nail, it is a one-sided mirror and can be used safely. If there is no distance between the mirror and the nail, it is a double mirror.

Principle: Because an ordinary mirror is glass with a reflective layer in front, the reflective layer is generally plated on the back, so it is separated by the thickness of a piece of glass.

Leakage: If a layer of glass is added in front of the double mirror, or the coating is a "sandwich" in the middle of the glass, this method will not work.

2, brightness judgment method

The double-sided mirror uses about 50%~70% reflective layer, so it is darker than the ordinary mirror. Take out the cosmetic mirrors you carry with you and compare them together to see if there is a big difference in brightness.

Disadvantages: this method is easy to misjudge, and there may be color difference between mirrors.

3, "the enemy is clear and I am dark" method

A feature of a double mirror is that it can see the bright side from the dark side. So, if you turn off the light on your side, you will see the opposite scene (provided that there is a certain brightness on the opposite side).

What if peeping tom is hiding in the dark? Put your hands in front of the mirror in a "telescope" shape, cover all light sources, and observe the "telescope" carefully with your eyes. As long as there is a little brightness opposite, you can see it.

When you encounter a suspicious mirror, I believe that by combining the above three methods, you can have a correct judgment. In addition, for the convenience of observation, the back of the double mirror used for peeping is usually empty. So, you can also tap on the mirror and listen to the sound. Be careful if there is a slight echo in the cavity.

4. Comparing small mirrors is the simplest and most effective.

Finally, there is another way. You can also stick your own small cosmetic mirror on the mirror to compare the brightness of the image. If the brightness of the big mirror is obviously lower than that of the small cosmetic mirror, be careful.

Put a small mirror on the double mirror and look at the same can of food. In this way, the contrast between light and shade is very obvious. The image of the small mirror is very bright, and the image of the coating mirror is obviously dark.
