Introduction of Karamay Airport

Karamay Airport (IATA:KRY, ICAO:ZWKM) is located in Karamay, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Built in 1958, the old airport stopped using in 1998. The new airport was completed in 2005. The newly-built Karamay airport is located in the southeast of Karamay city. This is a 4D airport. The runway is 2600 meters long and 45 meters wide. The apron covers an area of 29,050 square meters and can take off and land passenger planes such as B767, B757, B737, A320 and E 190. On April 10, 2006, the first flight of Karamay New Airport was successful, and the first aircraft type was Boeing 757.
