I want to travel to Zhouzhuang and collect some information about Zhouzhuang and my self-guided tour experience.

Zhouzhuang, whose history was recorded in 1086, is located between Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou. The town is called Zeguo and is surrounded by water. Boats are required to travel within a short distance. The town is lined with streets along the river, connected by bridges and streets, with deep houses and courtyards, double ridges and high eaves, river corridors, arcades crossing the streets, bamboo and stone railings, and water pavilions next to the river. Zhouzhuang, nurtured by thousands of years of vicissitudes of history and rich Wudi culture, has become a treasure of oriental culture with its elegant water town style, unique cultural landscape, and simple folk customs. As an outstanding representative of China's excellent traditional culture, Zhouzhuang has become the cradle of Wudi culture and a model of Jiangnan water town. Zhouzhuang Town is located 38 kilometers southeast of Suzhou City. The famous ancient painter Wu Guanzhong wrote that "Huangshan combines the beauty of China's mountains and rivers, and Zhouzhuang combines the beauty of China's water towns." Overseas newspapers and magazines called "Zhouzhuang the first water town in China."

Zhouzhuang has a history of nearly nine hundred years and rich cultural connotations. The writer Zhang Han of the Western Jin Dynasty and the poets Liu Yuxi and Lu Guimeng of the Tang Dynasty once lived in Zhouzhuang. Zhouzhuang was also the hometown of Shen Wansan, a wealthy man from the south of the Yangtze River in the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties; Zhouzhuang also left the footprints of Liu Yazi, Chen Qubing and others.

Transportation route: From Shanghai:

1. Shanghai Tourism Distribution Center (80,000 Stadium, No. 666 Tianyaoqiao Road) 7:00, 8:30, 9:05, 12:10, 14:00, special tourist bus, including round-trip fare and tickets, 110 yuan, the journey is one and a half hours, the number of flights will be increased appropriately on holidays, the latest return time is 16:30.

2. Gate 2 of Hongkou Football Stadium (No. 444 Dongjiangwan Road) 8:00, 9:00, 10:00 (8:30 on weekends, including round-trip fare and ticket price 98 yuan).

3. There are three direct buses to Qingpu from People’s Square: the intersection of Songshan Road and Jinling East Road, the intersection of Madang Road and Yan’an Road, and the intersection of Laochengdu Road. The buses from these three starting points are relatively fast. Get off at the waiting room of Qingpu Bus Station and transfer to Zhouzhuang. The bus runs every half an hour. It takes about an hour from the city to Qingpu and the fare is 6.5 yuan. It takes about one and a half hours from Qingpu to Zhouzhuang and the fare is 8 yuan. . The last train back to Qingpu is around 16:00, and the last train back to Shanghai from Qingpu is 18:30 (to People’s Square) and 19:15 (to Wuzhong Road West District Station).

From Suzhou:

1. North Bus Station: The first bus is 7:05, the last bus is 17:05, every half hour, Iveco bus, the journey is about one hour. The latest return time is 17:00. The tourist bus fare is 15 yuan.

2. Wuxian Bus Station 7:15, 9:40, 13:15, 14:20, the fare is 17 yuan, and the journey takes one and a half hours.
