Seychelles is located in the Indian Ocean, 16km away from the east coast of Africa. It is far from the African continent, remote and isolated.

Seychelles was uninhabited until the 18th century. In the mid-18th century, the French and the British first began to colonize the Seychelles. In 177, the first black slaves landed on the island. Later, Indians, Arabs and China people came to Seychelles one after another.

Seychelles is an archipelagic country consisting of 115 islands. The destination of my trip is one of the 115 islands in Seychelles.

I calculated silently in my mind that it took me 14.4 hours to get to the international airport in Mahe Island, Seychelles. And this is only two-thirds of my whole trip, just my second flight transfer station.

I still need to wait at Mahe International Airport for 4 hours, and then take a small plane flight in Seychelles for 35 minutes. After a total of 19 hours, I will arrive at my destination-Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at des Roches Island, an independent island in the southwest of Seychelles.

19 hours is the shortest time I have gained

after repeatedly consulting the flights of several airlines. If I am not careful, it will take me 24 hours to reach my destination.

it's a bit less like going on holiday, more like going to the moon. But I have always believed that the most beautiful scenery is usually the most difficult to reach.

finally, after waiting for more than three hours, I was greeted by the call of a flight in Seychelles.

This 16-seat small plane has only one purpose of taking off and landing every day, that is, flying to the Four Seasons Resort Hotel on Deroche Island, a private island in the southwest of Seychelles.

Only me and a staff member of Four Seasons Hotel boarded the plane. If I'm the only passenger, it's really a private jet.

after a 35-minute flight, an independent island about 5 kilometers long and 1 kilometer wide appeared on the sea outside the engine room.

covering an area of 42 hectares, Drosh Island in Seychelles is a sparsely populated and well-preserved tropical paradise.

Looking down from the sky, hidden under the green coconut grove is the newly opened Four Seasons Holiday Hotel in Drosh Island.

Although it is an independent and private island, I still underestimated its size. After checking in, it is close to dusk. I want to visit the unique animal of Seychelles-elephant turtle before sunset. It is said that there are about 15 wild Adabora elephant turtles on this island.

Ride the bicycle provided by the hotel for each villa guest. I think this should be the most efficient way to find the elephant turtle. However, things are completely beyond my imagination. I rode for 15 minutes from a crowded hotel space to a deserted jungle path. I didn't see a single elephant turtle, but I got lost in the coconut grove.

suddenly, a hotel security guard riding a motorcycle appeared in my sight, and I quickly grasped this lifeline.

after learning my intention, Krishna, a handsome local Seychelles guy, frowned, looked at the sky again, and then said, "It's getting dark, you won't find it yourself. I'll drive you."

"Private Island, Motorcycle, Security, Darkness, Can't Come Back", these five words are mixed together, forming an unspeakable strange picture in my mind, which I have never encountered in other five-star hotels.

well, after reconfirming the word "security" on his uniform, I decided to "board".

After boarding Krishna's motorcycle for a few minutes, I understood why I couldn't find the elephant turtle. On the private island where the hotel is located, there is a winding path that runs through the whole island for 15 kilometers. It takes at least 4 minutes to 1 hour to get from one end of the island by taking the hotel golf cart or riding.

The ——Tortoise Sanctuary, the gathering place of 15 elephant turtles, is in the center of the whole island. It takes at least 2 minutes to get there by bike if the direction is right.

sitting in the back seat of Krishna's motorcycle, I feel lucky. Fortunately, I didn't wander around by bike, otherwise I would ride until I was out of water and peeled off, and I wouldn't see an elephant turtle.

Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 3pm, the hotel also organizes free outdoor activities to feed the elephant turtles.

On the independent island of Drosh, there are other wild animals besides turtles. And these friends, because they haven't been with humans for a long time, often do "stupid things."

one day after dinner, I walked on the dimly lit hotel trail and walked back to my villa.

I watched a big black bird take off from a tree trunk not far away, and then in an instant it directly hit my chest and heart. That accuracy not only made me stumble back several steps, but also made me out of breath for a while.

Bang, it seems that this "accident-causing" big bird has suffered more panic than I was frightened. After "attacking" me, it actually fell directly on the sand.

it attacked me. I haven't been killed yet, but it has done enough to be killed!

if I was killed by this seabird in this small African island country, it is estimated that the insurance company will not pay for it! In order to see the legendary African handsome boy, the risk coefficient is a bit high!

while complaining about its recklessness, I suddenly realized that the guy who is so "stupid" in front of me is Shearwater, a stupid seabird introduced to me by Tony, the housekeeper, who is a seagull bird.

It is said that this stupid bird often "accidentally" flies into a golf cart running in the hotel, creating scenes of "bloody cases" on the windshield.

Although Seychelles entered human society relatively late, it has a history of more than 2 years. The wild animals here really need to improve their understanding and learning of human society!

the next day, led by Tony, the housekeeper of Four Seasons Resort Hotel in Drosh Island, I took a golf cart in the hotel and visited the whole island for 2 hours.

Tony told me that there are five beaches in the hotel. How is that possible? An island, of course, has only one beach, and that is the beach that surrounds the whole island.

I followed Tony around and realized that these five beaches are actually the best places for sunbathing, sea activities and picnicking. These five beaches are the most beautiful and comfortable compared with the 14-kilometer-long beach chain that meanders all over the island.

The white sand beach is as fine as flour. Against the blue sea, it looks particularly white, and it is a dreamy picture like a paradise outside the world.

The same dream is the Lighthouse of the Four Seasons Resort in Drosh Island. This is the tallest building in the whole island. Originally a lighthouse, it is now used as a restaurant and bar in the hotel.
