Twenty-year changes in Shangyu

1On August 24th, 992, with the approval of the State Council, Shangyu was removed from the county and established as a city. In June 65438+1October 65438+August of the same year, the city held a grand celebration of withdrawing counties and setting up cities. Since then, the development of Shangyu has turned a new page. The 20 years since the county was removed and the city was established are the 20 years of entrepreneurial innovation and open struggle of Shangyu people, the 20 years of rapid economic development in Shangyu and the 20 years of coordinated urban and rural development in Shangyu. Over the past 20 years, Shangyu's economy has developed continuously and rapidly, its comprehensive strength has been steadily improved, and its urban and rural appearance has undergone tremendous changes, ranking among the top 40 counties and cities in China for many years. In order to comprehensively review the glorious course in the past 20 years, show the fruitful achievements in the past 20 years, show the development panorama of Shangyu in the past 20 years from various angles, enhance the popularity and reputation of Shangyu, enhance the sense of pride and happiness of citizens, inspire the people of the whole city to forge ahead in the future, create more glories, and comprehensively promote the construction of "Four Shangyus", we decided to launch the "Meng Pei Cup" in the whole city-to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Shangyu's withdrawal from the county and the establishment of the city.
