1, US Consulate

Tips:

2. Opposite the US Consulate, it is the only means of transportation in Gulangyu Island: the ticket office of the battery car, which can be taken from Sanqiutian-Xinzhuang Garden, 40 yuan/person; However, I suggest that you don't take the battery car unless you have to. The beauty of Gulangyu Island is measured by feet. The battery car only passes around the island along the periphery.

2. No.44 and No.46 Gu Xin Road.

Walking up from the American Consulate, I met an "Ya" intersection, No.44 Gu Xin Road; Walk on the left: this zigzag intersection is the shooting place of the movie "Love on the Corner"; It is suggested that couples and friends can take creative photos at this slope intersection; The famous "boathouse" on the island is here. The boathouse is special in that it is a boat-shaped villa built on a triangular foundation. The Gulangyu Family Concert broadcast in the Spring Festival Evening in 2004 was held in the boathouse.

3. Gulangyu Industrial Bureau

This is the "Gulangyu Industrial Bureau" of that year; Many important decisions of Gulangyu Island were made out of this. 4. Bagua Building

Go on, on the right is one of the top ten buildings in Gulangyu Island: Bagua Building: a magnificent building with a red dome, which can be seen here in Xiamen. Now it is Gulangyu organ museum; On the right side of the government museum, there is a path that is a dead end, and the end of the road is Gulangyu No.2 Middle School. 5. Yangshan Zunfu

There are four buildings in Yangjiayuan, which are Yangshan Zunfu, Fishbone Art, Yangjiayuan Resort Hotel and Carambola Garden. 6. Huaying Girls' High School

Turn left and right, and walk along the road, which is the family hotel on Cape No.8, and the villa is next door. This is the former Huaying Girls' Middle School; Gulangyu's modern education was in the lead in that year. Sitting in the small flower bed outside the villa facing the teacher dormitory of Huaying Girls' Middle School; Enjoy the unique wicker ceiling of the villa. In winter, the fireworks at the door are very lively and beautiful. There is a road opposite Cape No.8, and there are several benches at the entrance of Gulangyu Food Factory. 7. Trinity Hall

Further on, you can see the Trinity Church: Gulangyu Church is full of churches, which attracted many medical and educated China believers during the concession period. Until now, on a church day, you may go in and listen to an old lady next door praying quietly in English.

On the right side of Sanyitang, an alley enters, which is the earliest hotel in Gulangyu: "Yue Bin Hotel"; Today, I still stubbornly refuse modernization and stick to a slightly deserted big yard that is very close to nature.

8. Riguangyan Kindergarten

Go left in Trinity Hall, and then turn left. It is People's Primary School, Sunshine Rock Kindergarten; The earliest kindergarten in China; That is, as mentioned earlier: the back of the earliest kindergarten education. At this time, there is a crossroads: if you are interested in Sunlight Rock Scenic Area, you can turn right and go straight along Quanzhou Road; When you go to Xilinmen to buy tickets, you can also visit the National Hero Zheng Chenggong Memorial Hall for free. Climb the Sunlight Rock at an altitude of 97 meters, feel the vastness of the wind and waves, and enjoy the panoramic view of Gulangyu Island; After the suggestion comes down, pass the Bobo statue, Riguangyan Temple and go out from the main entrance.

9. Black Cat Restaurant

If you don't go to Sunlight Rock, go straight along Yongchun Road at this time: Yongchun Road is a quiet alley in Gulangyu with fewer tourists. The Black Cat Ballroom was the scene of Gulangyu Island in the 1920s and 1930s. This villa is beautifully carved.

Tiger Lane Riguangyan Temple 10

Far from the alley on the right, there is a pure Chinese-style building with red bricks and green tiles and cornices, which is Riguangyan Temple. This is also the little-known entrance of Sunlight Rock; The direct airflow is very cool and comfortable. You can sit down for a while.

Yongchun Road is getting narrower and narrower, and even the narrowest road in Gulangyu Island can be seen on the left: Tiger Lane, which is only 1 meter wide; It is said that this alley killed a tiger, hence its name;

Gangzaihou Beach 12
