history
This trestle has a history of more than one hundred years. She witnessed the humiliating years and the construction and development of Qingdao. 189 1 year, the Qing government issued an imperial edict and established it in Qingdao (called Jiaoao in Japan). 1992 the Qing government sent Gaoyuan Zhang, the company commander of Dengzhou, to Qingdao with the officers and men of the 4th Battalion. In order to facilitate the transportation of military materials, two wharves were built, one of which is the present trestle, which is 200 meters long and 10 meters wide. There are many original names of docks, such as Navy Wharf, Qianhai Wharf, Nanhai Wharf, Li Hongzhang Wharf and Grand Wharf. Another "Yamen Bridge", also known as "Snail Bridge", is located in front of the yamen of the company commander, with a length of100m and a width of 6m. These two wharves were designed by China engineers themselves, and they are the earliest wharves in Qingdao.
The trestle was the only maritime "arms supply line" at that time, that is to say, whoever controlled the trestle controlled Jiaozhou Bay. 1897, the Germans landed in Qingdao Bay where the trestle bridge was located and occupied Qingdao by force. This trestle became the witness of German occupation of Qingdao. After German imperialism occupied Qingdao, in May of 190 1, the northern end of the original bridge was changed to stone-based cement pavement, and the southern steel bridge was paved with wooden boards to build light rail. The bridge body is lengthened to 350 meters, and it is still a military pier.
After the completion of the wharf in Qingdao, the wharf gradually lost its historical mission as a wharf and began to open to tourists. During World War I, Japan landed at the Yangkou of Laoshan Mountain, and after occupying Qingdao, it still held a military parade on this bridge to prove its "complete sovereignty" over Qingdao.
Introduction:
Qingdao Trestle, commonly known as Qianhai Trestle, Nanhai Trestle and Grand Wharf. Located in the seashore of Shinan District of Qingdao, on the north side of Qingdao Bay, it is regarded as an important symbol of Qingdao. It is the earliest military-specific artificial wharf building in Qingdao. After Germany invaded Qingdao, the trestle became a freight terminal.
At the southern end of the trestle, there is a "Huilan Pavilion" with double cornices. Visitors walking along the waterfront of the trestle bridge can see the crescent-shaped city outline of Qingdao. The trestle is like a wave of Changhong, and the Huilan Pavilion is brightly lit.
In the distance, the white lighthouse on Xiaoqing Island is graceful.
The red tiles and green trees on the east and north sides complement each other, and various uneven horizontal buildings are distributed on the headland slope. In the west, modern high-rise buildings have sprung up along the coast with great momentum.
The coastal breakwater is made of granite, which is over 10 meters above the water surface. At the high tide, the stormy waves beat on the shore, stirring up clusters of snow-white waves and attracting countless tourists to watch; The tide receded, ochre rocks and golden beaches surfaced, and the beaches were crowded with tourists rushing to the sea to pick up shells. When the sea is calm, thousands of seagulls soar freely, making the beautiful Qingdao Bay full of vitality.
There are chain guardrails and lotus street lamps on both sides of the trestle. At the end of the trestle, there is an "A"-shaped triangular breakwater to reduce the influence of wind and waves. At the southernmost tip, there is an octagonal pavilion with a reinforced concrete double glazed tile roof-Huilan Pavilion. This pavilion is large in scale and luxurious in decoration, overlooking.
On both sides of the northern end of the trestle are zhanqiao park, with lush green grass and blooming flowers. The west wing of the trestle is blocked by wind and waves, and the blue ocean is calm and soft. In midsummer, the sixth bathing beach here is crowded with tourists.
