The majors of Sichuan Normal University are: Chinese language and literature and cultural communication, foreign secretary, English, computer and application, law, computer software, economic information management and computer application, e-commerce, applied electronic technology, computerized accounting, tourism and hotel management, development and utilization of tourism resources, tourism management, industrial design, broadcasting and hosting, performance, fine arts, advertising art design, architectural decoration technology and educational technology. Sichuan Normal University, referred to as "Sichuan Normal University", is located in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province. It is one of the first batch of key universities in the national "Basic Capacity Building Project of Colleges and Universities in the Midwest". It is the earliest undergraduate normal education in Sichuan Province and the oldest provincial key university in normal colleges. Sichuan's "double first-class" construction plan has been selected into the national excellent teacher training plan, excellent engineer education training plan, national new engineering research and practice project, national innovation plan and Sichuan 20 1 1 plan. The school was founded in 1946, and its birth has a direct historical origin with Northeastern University. In the early days of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, Northeastern University moved to Santai County, Sichuan Province. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Northeastern University moved back to Shenyang, and teachers and students from Liuchuan founded the North Sichuan College of Agriculture and Industry at the original site. 1949, Xishan College was absorbed and renamed as North Sichuan University; 1950 merged with North Sichuan College of Literature and moved to Nanchong City, Sichuan Province. 1952 Sichuan Normal University was established with North Sichuan University as the main body, and some majors of East Sichuan Education College (formerly China Rural Construction College), Sichuan University and West China University were merged. Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (formerly Chengdu University) was merged into the school. 1985, approved by the State Education Commission, was renamed Sichuan Normal University. 1999, Chengdu Coal Cadre Management College of the former Ministry of Coal was merged into the school.

As of March, 20021year, there were two campuses, Lion Mountain and Jackie Chan, covering an area of more than 3,400 mu. There are more than 37,000 full-time undergraduates, more than 4,000 doctoral and master students, and more than 3,000 teaching and research personnel. There are graduate schools and 26 colleges, offering 79 undergraduate majors.
