MediaTek's success lies in taking advantage of its latecomer advantage, and other chip manufacturers compete for the most advanced chips at the high end. MediaTek used the R&D experience of other chip manufacturers to avoid detours and only focused on low-end chips in the same period.

MediaTek's characteristic is turn key, which can provide the simplest solution for mobile phone manufacturers, just like turning over a house, as simple as providing a complete motherboard. Mobile phone manufacturers only need to install the screen and shell, and the writing system can be sold. Therefore, MediaTek's products are most suitable for mobile phone manufacturers without any R&D capability, and even small underground workshops can make mobile phones.
