Tianmen, an icon, is located in Village 5, Qinglong Township, Bango County, Naqu Prefecture, Tibet, on Chadoranka Island in the north of Namtso, the holy lake.

Route: Depart from Dangxiong County and walk 9 kilometers to the entrance of the scenic spot. Go in and drive 23 kilometers to a fork in the road. This is Namco Town. Turn left and go west to Tashi Island. Don't go to Tashi Island, take another road north. Walk 56 kilometers east from Namco. This road is full of asphalt. The road conditions are very good. Then turn left at Dongga village and start the dirt road. Walk 30 kilometers on the dirt road leading to Xionggang Village and 27 kilometers along the dirt road on the north side of Namco, and you can reach the gate of the icon.

At present, because the hotel built in the scenic spot is unqualified in the environmental assessment, the scenic spot and the camp are closed (absolutely accurate information) and can only enter by path. There are two villages along the way that will block the way. You can bypass the village by the path, but it's more dangerous. Mobile navigation is basically useless. If you don't know the way, don't drive there. Besides, don't go to the lake. It's easy to get stuck in the car.

After a section of dirt road, the no-man's land opened for a long time, and suddenly there was no road. So be sure to fill it up. When you get to the scenic spot, you need to climb the mountain on the left and you can see Tianmen.

The Tianmen of the icon feels small from a distance and spectacular from a close distance. I think the best viewing position is the mountain opposite the Tianmen Gate of the icon, where you can see the whole picture of the elephant. When you are near it, it is an elephant. It would be nice to bring a drone, and the photos taken are also big.

Many people want to go to Tianmen, probably because of a legend. If you have a chance to chat with the old Tibetans, they will learn about a mysterious place "Tianmen" from their mouths. It is quietly hidden on the north bank of Namtso, across the holy lake from Nyainqentanglha (Nyainqentanglha is misunderstood, but it never has this name). This is a hidden vision hidden in the heart of old Tibet, and it is also the ultimate place of Tibetan beauty.
