Reply from the Municipal Health and Wellness Committee: At present, for outpatients and caregivers in risk-free areas, on the basis of routine monitoring such as temperature measurement and code test, the negative results of nucleic acid for new coronary pneumonia should be checked within 72 hours.

1. For emergency patients and their accompanying personnel in the risk-free area, medical and health institutions should check the negative results of nucleic acid for new coronary pneumonia within 72 hours after each entry into the emergency department.

2. For patients and accompanying personnel who need short-term observation and treatment in emergency (within 24 hours), medical and health institutions shall check their COVID-19 nucleic acid negative results within 48 hours.

3. For patients who need to stay in the emergency observation room for more than 24 hours or wait for admission and their accompanying personnel, medical and health institutions shall conduct single sampling of COVID-19 nucleic acid before entering the observation room.

4. For emergency observation patients who can be admitted to the hospital within 24 hours, the patients and their accompanying personnel can be admitted to the hospital directly with the negative report of COVID-19 nucleic acid single sampling in emergency observation on the same day; If the patient has been admitted to the hospital for more than 24 hours, the medical and health institution shall re-collect the patient before admission. For newly hospitalized patients and accompanying personnel, medical and health institutions should continue to carry out apheresis or check the negative results of nucleic acid detection in Xinguan pneumonia within 24 hours in accordance with the relevant work requirements of the state and our city. Those who meet the free range of nucleic acid detection in COVID-19 shall not charge COVID-19 nucleic acid detection fees.
