Which province is Zhou Pu?

Zhou Pu belongs to Chongqing, and now it refers to Wanzhou, Chongqing.

Zhou Pu was originally the name of the Tang Dynasty. In the eighth year of Wude (627), Nanpu was changed to Zhou Pu, Zhenguan was changed to Wanzhou in the eighth year (634).

Wanzhou District is located in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, the northeast of Chongqing, and the center of the Three Gorges reservoir area. It is a regional central city in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. It is connected to Yunyang County in the east, Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County and Lichuan City in Hubei Province in the south, Zhongxian County and liangping county in the west, Kaixian County in the north and Kaijiang County in Sichuan Province in the north. Wanzhou District covers an area of 3,457 square kilometers. By the end of 20 14, the urban built-up area was 62.5 square kilometers, the urbanization rate was 61.1%,and the urban population exceeded one million.

Wanzhou has a unique geographical location. It used to be an important material distribution center in northeastern Chongqing, eastern Sichuan, western Hubei, southern Shaanxi, eastern Guizhou and western Hunan. It is more than 200 kilometers away from the main city of Chongqing and Yichang, Hubei. It is the only central city within 200 kilometers of Fiona Fang with a population of over 800,000. Convenient transportation, the Yangtze River golden waterway passes through the territory. It is a city with airports, railways, highways, deep-water ports and customs ports, and a transportation hub for international bonded logistics. Wanzhou rail transit is also about to be built.
