Can I stay in the hotel as a minor?

Legal analysis: Not in principle. Minors above 16 can apply for ID cards and stay in hotels, while minors below 16 can't stay in hotels even if they have ID cards, because the ID cards of people below 16 are invalid. Now the hotel registration system is directly connected with the public security system, and minors or people without ID cards cannot stay in hotels. Because once it is inquired by the public security system, the hotel will face punishment.

Legal basis: Article 57 of the Law on the Protection of Minors in People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates that when hotels, guest houses, hotels and other accommodation operators receive minors, or receive minors and adults, they should ask their parents or other guardians the contact information, the identity relationship of the check-in personnel and other relevant information; Anyone who is found to be suspected of violating the law and crime shall immediately report to the public security organ and contact the parents or other guardians of minors in time.
