Introduction: It is the landmark landscape of Suzhou, known as "the first scene in Wuzhong", located in the northwest of Suzhou ancient city, 3.5 kilometers away from Nagato. There are many historical sites and rich legends in Tiger Hill, which are the result of fairies and the charm of hills. Su Shi, a poet in the Song Dynasty, once said, "It is a pity not to visit Suzhou Tiger Hill." When evaluating the characteristics of Tiger Hill, the ancients once put forward the theory of "Nine Suits", arguing that Tiger Hill should be suitable for the moon, snow, rain, smoke, Yichun Xiao, summer, autumn, falling trees and sunset.

History: In ancient times, Tiger Hill was once an island in the bay that appeared and disappeared with the tide. After vicissitudes of life, it finally surfaced and became an isolated hill on the flat land. People call it Haiyong Mountain. The relationship between Tiger Hill and the sea can be seen in Zhaobi, Haiyong Bridge, Haiyong Spring and Yuejiaxuan of Cui Yongshan Villa, where the stone carving of "Haiyong Peak" inscribed by Qian Daxin, a scholar of Qing Dynasty, stands.

Suzhou was the capital of Wu in the Spring and Autumn Period, and He Lv, the king of Wu, was buried here after his death. On the third day after his death, a white tiger lived on it, hence the name Tiger Hill. Then Qin Shihuang climbed the hill to see the victory; Xiang Yu, the overlord of the Western Chu Dynasty, led 8000 soldiers to fight Qin again. Later, when Bai Juyi, a great poet in the Tang Dynasty, was a secretariat in Suzhou, he dug mountains to divert water and built Qili Dike, which made the scenery of Tiger Hill more beautiful.

Guide: The main scenic spots are: Tiger Hill, "the third spring in the world", Duanliangtang, Hanhan Spring, Shijianshi, Jianchi, Cuiyong Mountain Villa and Wanjing Mountain Villa.

Tiger Hill is a flat octagonal brick tower built in the Song Dynasty (96 1 year), with 7 floors and a height of 47.5 meters.

Due to the foundation, the tower began to tilt to the northwest 400 years ago. According to preliminary measurement, the deviation between the center point of the tower top and the central vertical line has reached 2.3 meters (the deviation of the world-famous Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy is 4.4 meters), and the inclination is 2゜40', so it is called "Leaning Tower of Pisa in the East". The original tower top was destroyed by lightning. When 1956 was rebuilt, a large number of precious cultural relics such as stone letters, prayer flags, bronze buddhas, bronze mirrors and celadon lotus bowls of Yue Yao were found in the third mezzanine.

Tiger Hill Sword Pool The most mysterious and attractive monument in Tiger Hill is the sword pool. On the stone wall due north of the Thousand-Man Stone, the four characters "Tiger Hill and Sword Pool" are engraved. It is said that these four words were written by Yan Zhenqing, a great calligrapher in the Tang Dynasty. The so-called sword pool is a pool as narrow as a sword under a cliff. The tomb of He Lv, the prince of Wu, may be here. According to legend, at that time, 3,000 fish intestine swords and other swords were used to sacrifice the country for the prince of Wu, hence the name Jianchi. Two steep stone cliffs rose from the ground and locked a pool of green water. "The pool is dark and cold" and "the empty mountain is deep and firm", and the weather is one of them. According to the Records of Suzhou Prefecture, Lu Yu once lived in Huqiu for a long time, studying tea and writing tea classics. The water in Jianchi was named "the fifth spring in the world" by him.

Mystery of King Wu's Tomb 1955 Repair of Tiger Hill and Dredging of Sword Pool. At that time, I scrubbed moss, and verified that there were inscriptions of Changzhou, Wuxian and Kunshan in Ming Dynasty on the rock wall on the east side of Jianchi, as well as those of Tang Yin and Wang Yong, which contained simple information that Jianchi dried up in the seventh year of Ming Dynasty (15 12) and the tomb gate of the Prince of Wu was found at the bottom of Jianchi. Based on the analysis of the accumulated soil behind the Tiger Hill and the above signs, it is likely that the sword pool was designed and excavated to cover the king's tomb. There may be some secrets behind the tomb door. However, whether the tomb of the Prince of Wu is among them is still a mystery through the ages until it is confirmed by archaeological excavations.

Hanshan Temple

Crows fell on the moon, crowed coldly, slept on maple trees, and slept in fishing lanes by the river.

In the lonely Hanshan Temple outside Suzhou, the bell that rang in the middle of the night reached the passenger ship.

-Tang Zhangji's a night-mooring near maple bridge

Introduction: Hanshan Temple is located near Qiao Feng Bridge outside Gusu City. It was founded in the Six Dynasties and has a history of 1400 years.

History: Qiao Feng Temple in ancient times. It was built in the Southern Liang Dynasty, and its old name was Miaopuminglou. According to legend, Hanshan Temple, a monk in the Tang Dynasty, and the abbot of Tiantai Mountain came here, so it was renamed Hanshan Temple. This temple has a lot to do with Japan. Hanshan Temple was built to commemorate Hanshan and pickup trucks. Pickup later gave up hosting and went to Japan, so there is a pickup temple in Japan. It is said that Hanshan and Picked up are the incarnations of Pu Xian and Manjusri.

In the fourth year of Shaoxing in the Southern Song Dynasty (1 134), monks moved to rebuild the temple. This temple has been destroyed by fire many times. Most of the existing temples were rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty.

At the beginning of 1954, a comprehensive renovation was carried out, and the Hualan Building of a house in Songxiang was moved to the temple, and the old amount of "the first building in Fengjiang" was restored.

1995, the "puming pagoda" was completed, and the five-level four-sided pavilion-like Tang stupa with a tower height of 42 meters became the landmark building of the scenic spot.

Brief introduction: The main buildings in the temple are: Daxiong Hall, Xiandian Hall (Piandian Hall), Tibetan Scripture Building, Monument Gallery, Bell Tower, Fengjiang Building, etc.

The temple is east-west, covering an area of about 10600 square meters. There is a sumeru in the center of Ursa Mahayana Hall. The Tathagata sits on it, and Ananda and Ye Jia stand around. There are 18 gold-plated arhats with different looks on the walls on both sides, which were cast in Chenghua period of Ming Dynasty.

On the right side of Hanshan Bronze Bell Daxiong Hall, there is a bronze bell given by a Japanese friend. It was cast in 1906 by a group of Japanese craftsmen such as Hanshan Yamada and Chengyi Kobayashi. Hanshan Temple is famous for its bells. However, the ancient clock of the Tang Dynasty has long been lost after the war. The giant clock cast during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1522- 1566) is said to have been "sold as a cannon during the political changes in Japan". There is also a saying that this big clock was exiled to Japan. The Japanese searched everywhere and found no whereabouts. So the Japanese Hanshan Yamada made a donation and raised funds to recast the bronze bell in 1905, giving it to Hanshan Temple in Suzhou. The clock is about 0.8 meters high and 0.62 meters in diameter. There is a cast inscription "The bells of Hanshan Temple in Gusu ring". This clock consists of two pieces, one in Guanshan Temple in Japan and the other in Hanshan Temple, and it has been well preserved so far.

New Year's Bell Every year on the evening of 65438+February 3 1, Hanshan Temple will hold a bell ringing ceremony, and the bell will ring 108. Each stroke represents a kind of trouble. After hearing the bell, the troubles will go with the wind in the coming year. At that time, Zhang Ji, a poet of the Tang Dynasty, lived in Qiao Feng at night, listening to the bells on a passenger ship. It was also because he failed again and again that he was instructed to sweep away his troubles.
