History of Chuhan Grain Sauce Winery

Maotai-flavor liquor originated in the Western Han Dynasty and is called "Hulu Maotai-flavor Liquor".

According to Records of the Historian Biography of Southwest Yi, in 135 BC, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty sent an envoy to South Vietnam (now Guangzhou) to taste the gouache brewed by Guangxi (now Renhuai) at a banquet. In order to please Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, he bypassed the Gui Department and took the goulash wine for Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty. After drinking it, Emperor Wudi praised it as "sweet and delicious", so there was a saying that "Tang Meng made the western regions drink stewed beef".

During the Tang and Song Dynasties, the spirit of wine-making in Renhuai area has spread all over the people, and the high-quality Daqu liquor "Qu Feng Liquor" is popular all over the city.
