Maotai-flavor liquor originated in the Western Han Dynasty and is called "Hulu Maotai-flavor Liquor".

After drinking it, Emperor Wudi praised it as "sweet and delicious", so there was a saying that "Tang Meng made the western regions drink stewed beef".
