The frightened and frightened Lanzhou transfer
Are you mentally prepared if you still dare to transit in Lanzhou again under epidemic control? Are you sure you are ready? Yeah, I thought I was ready.
Speaking of transferring to Lanzhou, it is really a helpless move. It's finally here, it's already been decided.
The reason is that after the Muyu quarantine ended, we thought we could continue to play (on the tenth day after we arrived in Hubei, an epidemic suddenly broke out in Jiuquan area, and we were quarantined). When we arrived at the entrance of the scenic spot, we were questioned and tortured. Taken back to the isolation point. Before I was free and my emotions hadn't calmed down yet, I was urged to book a return ticket. I had no choice but to stand in front of the inn and book a flight ticket from Shennongjia to Xining via Shanghai on the 28th. From that moment on, obstacles followed each other like a curse.
At first, there were air tickets from Xining to Dunhuang, but when I checked, the flights were gone. All trains from Xining to Dunhuang were also suspended on the afternoon of the 28th. We had already arrived at Shanghai Airport at that time. After learning the news, we wanted to change our check-in to Lanzhou, but there were no flights.
It was already three o'clock in the morning when I arrived in Xining. I woke up at seven o'clock and started looking for a route back to Dunhuang. There were no flights in the past few days, and the flight from Lanzhou to Dunhuang was only available on November 1, so I had to transfer in Lanzhou. The flight to Dunhuang was at 10:40 in the morning. After calculation, I couldn't catch up with the earliest train, so I thought I'd stay overnight near the airport. I couldn't go to the city anyway, and if my health code changed, I wouldn't be able to go home.
Before leaving, I received a notification that intercity trains in Lanzhou were suspended. At this time, I didn’t consider the seriousness and thought I could just get off the train and take a taxi directly to the airport. When we took a taxi, when the driver heard about our hotel, he said he couldn't go there and the taxi couldn't go out of the city. Confused, why is this happening? So how do we get to the airport? Ask the master if there are any other vehicles that can pass? He said no, private cars are not allowed to leave the community. I was a little flustered, but then I thought, since planes are open to traffic, there must be a way to get to the airport.
I was nervous and uneasy, listening to the driver talk about the epidemic and its impact on life. Looking at the few vehicles and pedestrians on the formerly bustling streets, I lamented that the epidemic has changed the state of a city and the original trajectory of life. When we arrived at the departure point of the airport bus, we were relieved to know that it was still leaving. The last bus has left. Someone paid 600 yuan to book the bus and wanted to share a ride. However, the results of the seven-hour nucleic acid test that were promised have not been available for eight hours, so they cannot take the bus.
It’s getting dark. Find a place to stay. The first one to find the Super 8 Hotel was booked by the nurses who took the nucleic acid test. I searched for nearby hotels and called them one by one. Finally, someone answered the call. I heard that I was coming from Xining and I couldn’t stay there, even if I had a nucleic acid test report. I don’t know which hotels are still open. I looked online for hotels where I could place an order, but I couldn’t get through on the phone, so I didn’t dare to place an order. I could only look forward, but the few I found were not open. It was really difficult. Through the introduction of passers-by, I learned that the Wyndham Hotel not far away was open, and the one next to it seemed to be open as well. We hurried here, and as soon as we opened the door, someone came to the lobby and said that the hotel had been requisitioned. This area was already a controlled area. He hoped that we would leave as soon as possible and put our mobile phones in airplane mode, otherwise our health codes might be lost. Become a red code. I'm scared to death, how could this happen? Shut down your phone quickly and leave immediately. Nervous, scared, anxious, and panicked, I returned to the departure point of the bus. The couple who was looking for the bus charter had already left, and today’s bus service was also suspended. In my panic, I forgot that the staff had just told me that the Hanglv Hotel next door was closed, so I rushed in rashly, startling the hotel attendant, and told me that the hotel was under control and I shouldn't come in. Oh my god, we are under control. Could this be an isolation point? There is no virus, right? Will I carry the virus when I go in and out? Where is the safe area around? Wherever it is not a controlled area, a controlled area, will we change it to a yellow code or a red code?
After being stopped for a long time, I finally stopped a taxi. I didn’t know where to go. I remembered that the lobby of the Wyndham Hotel said that all the people staying in their hotel were arranged to the International Hotel. , let’s go to the International Hotel too.
On the way, the driver kept saying that we should not come to Lanzhou at this time, and we should not come from the airport to the city (Shang Xiaomei was afraid that the driver would not pull us if he knew we were coming from Xining). The urban area is now basically restricted, and the citizens are basically staying at home. Due to the quarantine, many taxis have stopped operating. Those like us who dare to come here are too brave. How could he know our helpless choice. It shouldn’t be this, it shouldn’t be that, and so on. It makes people more frightened and anxious.
When I arrived at the International Hotel, I went down to ask if I could check in. I came from Xining and still couldn’t check in. I received the notification around 5pm. That's how fast we rushed, and how good we were at catching up. We got off the train at five o'clock. I explained and begged for a long time, but nothing worked. Shang Xiaomei also came in and said angrily: "Since we are not allowed to stay, then the cars from Lanzhou should stop and not let us in. Now we have nowhere to go." ''The girl at the hotel was not angry and explained: ''Even if we check you in, the system will find it out and you will still have to leave and we will still have to take responsibility. ''Okay, you know my difficulties, and I understand your difficulties too. Let's go. The driver was anxious while waiting, urging Li Ge to call us over and over again, but Li Ge didn't panic and talked to the driver about some things and kept delaying. She was afraid that the driver would leave us without us and the car would be too difficult to drive.
No accommodation is allowed around this street, what should I do? Looking at the empty and lonely streets, accompanied by dots of street lights, we couldn't even find a place to stay. Helpless, helpless, there is no place for the three of us in this huge city of Lanzhou? If that doesn't work, can we go to the train station? One night? Are you allowed to enter the station? Is it okay to call the epidemic prevention center for help? Everyone is so busy, how can they have time and energy to take care of us? I saw the Lanzhou Public Security Bureau on the way, and thought, if it really doesn't work out, can we ask the police uncle for help and let us guard the police station for one night? The driver’s voice and the friends’ questions floated past my ears. I didn’t understand what was being said. I was surrounded by helplessness, powerlessness, panic, and bewilderment. I couldn’t stay, I couldn’t stay, I couldn’t stay, I couldn’t leave, I had no one to rely on. There is no hope, where will we go this night?
I really regret my decision to come to Lanzhou for a layover. I thought that Lanzhou’s epidemic control measures would be very strict, and that we would be inspected and questioned about our itinerary. 24-hour nucleic acid testing was ready, and protective measures were in place. But we didn’t know that the prevention and control measures had seriously affected our basic lives, including basic food. Housing and transportation are no longer guaranteed. The original convenience conditions were maintained under normal conditions, but now the entire city has pressed the pause button.
The driver took us around several turns and looked for several hotels, but we still couldn't check in. It was really disappointing. I continued to search and search, and finally found a hotel called Mercure where I could stay. I was finally taken in, and finally found accommodation. I suddenly felt very happy. I stayed in a hotel for the first time in my life and found a sense of belonging. As soon as I moved in, I started making phone calls and video calls to relatives and friends. I wanted to tell this experience and tell more family and friends. I was talking endlessly here. What I was talking about was the lingering fear in my heart, my anxiety and helplessness at that time. My friend Yanzi works in Lanzhou and is quarantined at home because of the epidemic. They have business dealings with the hotel and actively helped us contact the hotel. When we were nervous and anxious, she was always helping us find solutions. Later she said, in fact, we were too worried at the time. In such a big city, there must be an opening for people like us. After all, planes and trains are still running! I know that the panic has affected my thinking. Seeing the empty streets where all the police and protective personnel can be seen adds to the sense of urgency for epidemic prevention and control. Everything is not what it used to be, how can I not be scared.
In the past few hours, I have gone through so many mental journeys. If I talk about it, the psychological pressure may become less. I just want to say it, and I want to tell it, although the things I told have turned into making fun of myself.
That night, I tossed and turned and was still in shock. It wasn't until the plane landed in Dunhuang the next day that I finally let go of my worries and finally came back.
Going to Lanzhou during the epidemic control period was a choice among not many choices. All the things I encountered and the lessons I learned were all to strengthen my mind, tire my body and improve my experience. Think of it this way I think these experiences are actually life experiences.
Of course, this is something for later.
