Recently, 35 Dou interviewed Dong Ruifang, the founder of "Yi Nong Technology", who told us about the difficulties faced by agricultural products in China and the solutions given by "Yi Nong Technology". In Dong Ruifang's eyes, selling fertilizers, selling software services and doing the Internet are not agricultural companies. A real agricultural company is a company that takes planting as a means, takes agricultural products as the final product and serves consumers.

After graduation, Dong Ruifang entered the steel industry. He said frankly, "After working in the steel industry for more than two years, I feel that this industry is not as smooth as when I was working in agriculture, because I always feel that the steel industry is going downhill." After some struggle, Dong Ruifang decided to return to agriculture and do what he liked.

At the beginning of his career, Dong Ruifang raised the question that after the dual economy in China ended, the national income level began to rise, and the labor price was also rising. It is reasonable to say that the price of agricultural products should also rise, but the actual situation is that the price of agricultural products is still very low. Dong Ruifang believes that the fundamental problem lies not in circulation, but in production. "There are no commercialized agricultural products in China". The most basic requirement of the so-called commercialized agricultural products is to standardize the production end through the introduction of social division of labor and scientific and technological system, that is, to effectively manage pesticides, fertilizers and production processes, so that producers, or third-party plant protection, or financial institutions have the ability and obligation to bear the liability for compensation for breach of contract of agricultural products quality. If the pesticide residue exceeds the standard, it will be meaningless to trace it back to a poor household and let him bear all the consequences.

Dong Ruifang hopes that "Yi Nong Science and Technology" can provide all-round third-party services for Chinese traditional agriculture, which is based on previous unsuccessful explorations in soilless culture and organic agriculture. In his view, it is difficult for organic vegetables to promote the progress of vegetable technology in China, and it has not improved the management level of vegetables in China. Many people who enter this industry are just driven by their own feelings. However, the market of soilless culture has yet to be verified, and it cannot drive the change of the whole vegetable industry.

Yi Nong signed a tripartite agreement with farmers to bear the risk of pesticide residues and yield, and small farmers only need to serve their own vegetables. Here, Dong Ruifang put forward a point-"The farm price of agricultural products is so low because when choosing between quality and output, most people choose output, because small farmers can't afford expensive pesticide testing fees after choosing quality." This is the only way for China's agricultural development in the future. Yinong Science and Technology hopes that farmers can give consideration to both quality and yield through plant protection services.

The above five services can be said to be the process of "Yi Nong Technology" building a supply chain system for the brand promotion of "Cai Ge", and Dong Ruifang's ultimate goal is to provide safe vegetables. When he was still studying at Peking University, Dong Ruifang heard a point mentioned by the teacher in a class. "The food industry is a natural monopoly industry and must be highly branded." This reminds Dong Ruifang that the vegetable industry in China lacks brands, and the vegetable industry will be a very concentrated brand industry in the future. Vegetables are an industry with the highest consumption frequency and the greatest correlation with health, far exceeding drinks and snacks. He hopes to build a brand to provide safe and affordable vegetables. So I started to build the brand "Brother Cai". Dong Ruifang hopes that such a brand can provide a series of safe and affordable vegetables, which will benefit farmers, consumers and platforms.

Third, is agriculture a good industry?

In the choice of self-operated bases, "Yi Nong Science and Technology" mainly has several considerations: First, the natural environment is suitable, such as lighting conditions and water environment; The second is the location factor, which cannot be too far away from big cities; The third is variety selection. Chinese cabbage and rape are selected as leafy vegetables, and tomatoes are selected as eggplant. In terms of third-party services, it has served 12 large parks and more than 20,000 farmers. The cooperative customers include Shengfeng Agriculture, Huaxiang Medicine Valley, Xinmaoxiang Agriculture, Fengnong Holdings and Tian Tian Xuenong.

From 20 14, Dong Ruifang has always believed that agriculture is a good industry, and it is an industry worth spending a lifetime doing.

What has changed is that when he first entered the business, he thought that success depended on whether he could bear hardships. Later, it was found that this industry needs constant experimental optimization of technologies from all walks of life to solve the standardization problem of agricultural production, which is not something that a few people can solve.

Compared with other agricultural science and technology enterprises, the biggest advantage of "Yi Nong Science and Technology" lies in its self-operated production and planting base, complete digital agricultural service system and stable and reliable agricultural product sales channels. Dong Ruifang believes that the foothold of "Yi Nong Science and Technology" is not science and technology. In agriculture, the difference between them is that the former sells services and the latter sells agricultural products. Technology is only a means, not an end.

Although the ultimate goal of "Yi Nong Technology" is to build a brand of agricultural products, Dong Ruifang hopes to provide all-round third-party services for all agricultural planting enterprises and help transform and upgrade the traditional planting industry under the condition that the quality of agricultural products is not guaranteed at this stage. When the time is ripe, we will build our own supply chain system of "Benefiting Agriculture Science and Technology" to realize the goal of industrialized supply of safe vegetables.
