How long does the hotel video surveillance usually keep?

How long is the hotel video surveillance usually kept, at least three months? The hotel shall install video monitoring equipment that meets the requirements of laws, regulations, standards and norms in public areas such as the front desk, entrances and exits, main passages, elevator cars and parking lots, and ensure the normal operation of business hours. The storage period of video surveillance data shall not be less than 90 days, but the longest storage period is not unlimited. Hotels are not allowed to install video surveillance equipment in non-public areas.

Regulations on the administration of security services

Article 25

Security products used in security services shall meet the quality requirements of related products. The installation of monitoring equipment in security service shall conform to the relevant national technical specifications, and the use of monitoring equipment shall not infringe upon the legitimate rights and interests of others or personal privacy.

The monitoring image data and alarm records formed in the security service shall be kept for at least 30 days for future reference, and security practitioners and client units shall not delete or spread them. Article 30

Security guards shall not have the following acts:

(a) restricting the personal freedom of others, searching others' bodies or insulting or beating others;

(two) seizure, confiscation of other people's documents and property;

(3) Obstructing the execution of official duties according to law;

(4) Participating in debt recovery, using violence or threatening violence to handle disputes;

(five) delete or spread the monitoring image data and alarm records formed in the security service;

(6) Infringement of personal privacy or disclosure of state secrets, commercial secrets and information explicitly requested by the client unit to be kept confidential;

(seven) other acts in violation of laws and administrative regulations.
