What are the production techniques of cast copper sculpture?

Production technology of cast copper sculpture;

1. Design scheme deepening and clay sculpture making: firstly, the overall concept of the sculpture is designed by drawing, then the copper sculpture is cast according to the pattern, and then the rough model of the designed pattern is made with the clay draft, which is convenient for us to finalize the design. If there is anything wrong, you can replace the clay sculpture, and then enlarge it in proportion to make a one-to-one clay sculpture.

2. Turn over the mold: After the clay sculpture is finished, it is necessary to turn over the mold. Generally, there are two kinds of molds: one is gypsum turnover and the other is silica gel turnover. We use gypsum turnover without too much complexity, and vice versa.

3. Wax casting: pour the melted paraffin into the prepared gypsum mold or silica gel mold, and the paraffin will become a wax mold after cooling.

4. Shell-making: There are two kinds of turnover molds for shell-making: one is precision casting, and the other is resin sand box making. Small pieces or complex ones should be precision cast, and sandbox making is generally suitable for simple and smooth surfaces without much technology.

6. Casting and grinding: copper is converted into copper liquid at high temperature and poured into the finished mold shell or sand box, and then the riser is cleaned and polished.

7. Splicing and molding: Put the polished bronze sculptures together to form a complete whole. When this step is completed, we can basically see the general appearance of the cast copper sculpture.

8. Clean the welded joint and color the surface: treat all the welded parts of our spliced copper carvings exactly like our clay manuscript, and then color its surface.

9. Oiling and waxing: After the welded joint is cleaned and the surface is colored, the next step is oiling and waxing. Oil and wax can keep the sculpture up-to-date for a long time.

10. Installation: After completing the above 9 steps, only installation is left. When installing, it is generally necessary for professionals to guide the installation according to the on-site construction environment.
