How to clean stubborn stains on carpets in a simple way
First, use a vacuum cleaner for daily cleaning.
The fluff of carpets tends to accumulate dust, especially wool carpets with long fluff. The vacuum cleaner is a good helper to deal with the dust hidden in the carpet. Firstly, a vertical vacuum cleaner is used to clean the carpet in a large area, and the first step of dust removal is carried out; Then use a hand-held vacuum cleaner to carefully dispose of places with particularly serious dust, such as under the coffee table, corner, edge of the bed and carpet, and the second cleaning should be thorough. When using a vacuum cleaner to clean carpets, you must be regular, quantitative and persistent! If the dust is not cleaned for a long time, the carpet surface will change color and deteriorate, and once mildew spots appear, it will be too late to clean them.
Second, dry cloth paper removes stains.
Sometimes coffee, cola or juice will be accidentally spilled on the carpet. For this small area of stains, dry cloth or paper towel will be used to absorb water at the first time, then the dry cloth will be wetted with vinegar, and then the stains will be gently wiped. A few more pats will wipe the stain off the carpet. Don't take the broken glass by hand. Sweep out the big pieces with a broom. Stick the small particles with big tape, or pick them up with wet cotton and take them to the balcony to shake them off.
Third, warm water and vinegar remove odor.
If you have a pet owner at home, you know that pets will smell after playing on the carpet. Pour four cups of vinegar into four warm waters, soak the towel, wring it out, wipe the carpet from beginning to end, and then put it in a ventilated place to dry naturally. This method can not only eliminate the odor of pets and carpets after long-term use, but also prevent the carpets from fading and discoloring.
If the pet pees on the carpet, the new urine stains can be washed off with warm water or 10% ammonia water. Old stains should be washed with detergent first, and then with ammonia water. If it is a pure wool carpet, it should be cleaned with citric acid.
Fourth, prescribe the right medicine for different spots.
Carpets should be cleaned in time after being polluted, but different stains have different decontamination methods, and correct cleaning can't hurt carpets.
1. Edible oil stains: remove with volatile solvents such as gasoline, and wash the rest with alcohol.
2, soy sauce stains: new stains are first brushed with cold water, and then washed with detergent. Old stains can be scrubbed with warm water, detergent and ammonia water, and then rinsed with clean water.
3, shoe oil stains: wipe with gasoline, turpentine or alcohol, and then wash with soap.
4, ice cream stains: wipe with gasoline.
5, wine stains: new stains can be washed with water. Old stains need washing with water. Old stains can only be removed with aqueous solutions of ammonia and borax. If it is a wool or silk carpet, it can be cleaned with oxalic acid.
6. Vomiting stains: One method is to wipe with gasoline, then wipe with 5% ammonia water, and finally wash with warm water. Another method is to wet the vomit with 10% ammonia water, then wipe it with soap with alcohol, and finally wash it with detergent.
