Accommodation recommendation

Accommodation on the mountain: Huangguoshu Qingshan Boutique B&B, next to the viewing platform of the Baying River Bridge, not far from Huangguoshu Waterfall. This is where we stayed for the first two days of our trip. Here, you don’t have to look at the mountains from afar. Open the window and you can see the sharp corners of the mountains undulating like Shili Gallery. BB's interior decoration is made of local catalpa wood, and the room smells healthy and fresh. Sitting on the balcony of the room, you can see the Baling River Bridge, hear the sound of bungee jumping during the day, and see the dripping beach waterfall.

Pastoral beauty cabin: pastoral starry sky, ancient wooden house design style, outdoor swimming pool, dream pastoral life, these are the living characteristics of Libo. It is only a 30-minute drive from Qi Xiao Arch Scenic Area. It is very comfortable and convenient to stay and enjoy the mountains and rivers, fishing and farming, and the scholarly tea ceremony.

Luxury Hotel: Anantara Guiyang Resort is only a 15-minute drive from the airport and train station, which is very convenient. And every Anantara is a high-end resort! Guiyang is no exception! The hotel is located on a hill, surrounded by rows of villas. When you enter, you smell the scent of flowers and plants, and the environment is extremely quiet. In addition to the brand's unique texture and Thai romance, Guizhou's local ethnic characteristics have also been quietly integrated into every corner of the hotel. Elements such as silver jewelry, batik blue, and Chi You are all just right, complementing the mountain scenery of Guiyang outside the window. Wouldn't it be nice to slow down here, drink tea, listen to the wind, enjoy the autumn, soak in a SPA, and enjoy a leisurely life?

Local must-see attractions

Bahe Bridge

Bahe Bridge offers a panoramic view of the Grand Canyon. The Anshun Baling River Bridge spans the Baling River Gorge and is a long-span steel truss suspension bridge with the longest span in China and the sixth largest in the world. The bridge is connected to the majestic Huangguoshu Waterfall to the east and the Soma Ancient Road from the Three Kingdoms period to the west. The valley below the bridge is 400 to 600 meters deep. Driving on the bridge, you can not only see the magnificent scenery of the canyons and mountains, but also the thrill of challenging the limits.

Huangguoshu Waterfall

Huangguoshu Waterfall is the largest waterfall in China and Asia and one of the most famous waterfalls in the world. It is the only waterfall in the world that can be viewed from the front, back, left, right, inside and outside. Huangguoshu Waterfall's Water Curtain Cave, Doupo Pond and other scenic spots were all filmed as early as the 1986 version of "Journey to the West". The rushing river water flows down from the cliff more than 70 meters high, making a huge sound. The water curtain cave under the waterfall is also very rare among waterfalls around the world. If you are a photography enthusiast, taking a set of panoramic waterfall photos with your SLR will be shocking!

Libo Xiaoqikong

In Libo, seven small arches enjoy the "Emerald of the Earth". Qixiao Archway is one of the must-visit attractions in Libo. Its name comes from an ancient seven-hole bridge built during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty. The ancient bridge spans the Xiangshui River and was an important transportation route from southern Guizhou to Guangxi in ancient times. Daqikongqiao Scenic Area is mainly composed of virgin forests, canyons, undercurrents and underground lakes. The mountains are high, the valleys are deep, and the water is fast. There is a waterfall in the cave, a lake under the waterfall, a skylight above the lake, and a sun. Standing by the bridge, you will unknowingly succumb to the power of nature. The seven small arches, known as "Little Jiuzhaigou", integrate mountains, water, forests, caves, lakes and waterfalls.

The gentle and quiet Hanbi Lake, the endless Laiya Falls, the criss-crossing Sixty-Eight Falls, the tangled Guibei Mountains, the water forests interspersed in the forest, the Yuanyang Lake inlaid with dense forests, and the deep blue Wolong Lake. They are almost all gathered together. The most beautiful scenery in southeastern Guizhou. There are few people here, it is quiet, and you can avoid the noisy crowds. Being alone in this picturesque place will be an unforgettable experience.

Ancient town attractions

Qingyan Ancient Town

One of the four ancient towns in Guizhou, with a history of more than 600 years. The ancient town was built by troops in the Ming Dynasty and was named after Qingyan. Built against a mountain, the city wall is built on a cliff with huge boulders. The town’s exquisite stone and wood carvings are a major attraction. The back street is the most distinctive stone alley in Qingyan. The street is covered with layers of rubble and courtyard walls. The road is narrow and quiet, and it is surrounded by undulating mountains. It is an excellent location for photography.

Libo Ancient Town

Libo Ancient Town is not a real ancient town, but a group of antique buildings, known as "Mini Lijiang". But compared to the Internet Celebrity Ancient Town, there are far fewer people here and the business atmosphere is relatively weak. It combines Chinese classical architecture, garden art and Libo national culture. Portraits of ethnic minorities can be seen everywhere in the ancient town, and totems of ethnic minorities are painted on the eaves. Occasionally, you can see locals wearing ethnic costumes.

Anshun Gufu Street

This is a food street deep in the downtown area, with many fly shops concentrated there. The best way to check in is to eat from the street to the end of the street. Even though times have changed, some old shops are still in this neighborhood, so be sure to explore them.
