Hui 'an Ancient Town in Hui 'an

Hui 'an Ancient Town is located in central Vietnam and belongs to Guangnan Province. 1999 UNESCO listed the ancient town of Huian as a cultural heritage in the World Heritage List.

During the Kingdom of Champa, Hoi An was once a port and developed into the most important trade exchange center in Southeast Asia in the16th century. /kloc-in the 0/8th century, due to the fierce power struggle of the Vietnamese king, its development was restricted, and Hoi An was almost abandoned. Finally, this natural port was finally silted up. /kloc-In the 1980s of 0/9, UNESCO renovated the grand view model of Hoi An Harbor to make it glow with its former glory. Because of ancient trade, merchant ships from China, Japan, Nanyang and even Europe often went out to Hoi An Port, and there were many China and Japanese doing business in Hoi An. Therefore, the authorities allow China people and Japanese people to live here separately. Although it is also a local administration, it is China and Japanese who want to live here according to their own national customs.

The architecture of Hui 'an highlights the mutual combination of national cultures, and at the same time, it is protected as a traditional international commercial port site in Asia. The most famous of these buildings is a Japanese stone bridge with a roof. This stone bridge was built in the Year of the Monkey (1593) and completed in the Year of the Dog (1595), so there are two beautiful dog statues at the west end of the bridge and two monkey statues at the east end.

For hundreds of years, Chinese have thrived here, forming a unique Chinese community, which has taken root in China's rich and colorful traditional culture; Chinese ancient buildings, Chinese temples, Chinese halls and Chinese shops abound. Temples, halls, ancestral halls and other projects can be seen. The humanistic and cultural traditions of Hoi An have been well and completely protected. Although Vietnam has experienced many years of war, the ancient town of Hoi An was not destroyed by the war. Now, the ancient port of Hui 'an has been listed as the oldest historical and cultural relic in Southeast Asia and is recognized as a world cultural heritage. It is also listed as one of the "World Cultural Heritage" by UNESCO.
