The difference between Hetian jade and Sihui jade

Hetian jade, one of the "four famous jade in China", traditionally refers to the jade produced in Hetian area of Xinjiang, and is known as "inferior". Hetian jade in a broad sense refers to nephrite (real jade). Although Hetian jade is named after Hetian, Xinjiang, it is not a regional concept in itself, nor does it refer to the jade produced in Hetian, Xinjiang, but the name of a class of products. China named all stones with tremolite content over 98% as Hetian jade, which is within the national standard. Sihui jade, produced in Sihui City, Zhaoqing, Guangdong Province, is also known as the four major jade wholesale markets in Guangdong with Guangzhou, Pingzhou and Jieyang. It is the largest jade processing base in China. It is located in Sihui City, a county-level city belonging to Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province, about 80 kilometers away from Guangzhou. You can take a bus to Sihui Hotel from Guangzhou Station, Yaokou, Fangcun and Tianhe. You can also take a minibus to Hualin International Plaza before 6 pm or 1 am, which takes about one and a half hours by car (this route is cheap). In 2003, Sihui City won the title of "China Jade Town", and Yucheng became the abbreviation of Sihui City.
