Review of the Macau Eight Immortals Hotel massacre case. The murderer committed suicide in prison. Where is the body?

In 1985, a massacre occurred in Macau that caused a sensation in Hong Kong and Macau. In the case, people in a hotel, including the owner’s family and employees, disappeared one after another. It was suspected that someone had killed him and dismembered his body. The police found body parts in many places, but they have not been able to find them all.

Huang Zhiheng, formerly known as Chen Ziliang, was born in Shulou Village, Nanhai, Guangdong, and later settled in Hong Kong. He was imprisoned in Hong Kong for 5 years for violating the law. After serving his sentence, he married a woman named Huang. In 1973, he was involved in a murder case and fled to the mainland. Later, he smuggled into Macau with a woman he met in the mainland. In order to evade police pursuit, he cut off a section of his left index finger and burned it to destroy his fingerprints.

At noon on August 8, 1985, 8 residual limbs surfaced from Ah Po Yang Beach, Black Sand Beach, Coloane, including 4 right foot soles, two left foot soles and two palms. At that time, the stump was severely rotted and had been immersed in seawater for more than two days. Since there were four right soles, it was concluded that the number of victims was at least four. Two days later, a wild dog bit the palm of a woman's left hand in Grannyang Beach. Three days later, the police found a woman's right paw, and a swimmer also found a right paw.

With so many stumps found, the Macau police set up a special investigation team to investigate the matter, but there has been no progress.

In April 1986, the brother of Zheng Lin, the owner of the Eight Immortals Restaurant, wrote to the police, saying that Zheng Lin had been missing for eight months and had no news. When he heard that human body parts appeared in Macau, he thought his brother's family had been killed and hoped that the police could find Zheng Lin's whereabouts.

The police then re-examined the previously discovered human body parts and found that a female fingerprint was similar to that of Chen Lizhen, a missing person from the Eight Immortals Hotel. So the police began to monitor Huang Zhiheng and investigate him. Coupled with the previous testimony of a supplier of the Eight Immortals Hotel, they believe that the Zheng Lin family disappeared from August 4 to 5, 1985. Since Huang Zhiheng was 50 years old at the time, the police suspected that a young man was involved in the murder.

On October 2, 1986, Huang Zhiheng was arrested by the police for his previous murder case and the Eight Immortals Hotel case, and was imprisoned in the Macau Municipal Prison. In prison, Huang Zhiheng claimed that the murder was motivated by Zheng Lin's unwillingness to repay gambling debts. He admitted that he had killed Zheng Lin's family and an employee, cut the bodies into pieces, and then put them into two layers of black plastic bags multiple times, and discarded them in the trash can one by one.

After being arrested, Huang Zhiheng wanted to commit suicide several times, but because he was discovered in time, his life was not in danger. On December 4, 1986, Huang Zhiheng used a sharpened soda lid to pull the ring and cut the pulse again on the wound left before. But this time he died because he was not discovered.

Before his death, Huang Zhiheng left a suicide note in which he claimed that he did not kill Zheng Lin's family. And declare: "My self-liberation is not a fear of sin, but multi-faceted. I suffer from asthma, and I don't want to suffer anymore. This time I will finally realize it."

Although, people's When he is about to die, his words are also good. But we don’t know whether what Huang Zhiheng said is true.

Since the suspect Huang Zhiheng did not admit that he killed the person until his death, the police did not find the complete body or the other four. Therefore, the occurrence of this case and whether there are any accomplices have always been a mystery. This case has been adapted into movies, TV series, and comics many times. Because the plot mentions "human flesh barbecued pork buns", it is said that whenever the movie is staged, the sales of barbecued pork buns in Hong Kong and Macao will drop.
