Introduction of Jeju Island Self-help Tour

From April 30th to May 3rd, the three of us took a four-and-a-half-day self-help tour of Jeju Island in Ctrip. The team leader is enthusiastic and experienced, and boarding and entry and exit are relatively smooth. On the first day, I followed around, and the next day, we started our self-help trip. I would like to share my experience with you here, hoping to give some reference to friends who like Jeju Island.

The first is the question of changing money. The tour leader suggested that I take US dollars to Jeju and change them into won, which proved to be more cost-effective than RMB. Jeju Airport has two outlets, Jeju Bank and shinhan bank and shinhan bank, which can only be seen through customs, but the exchange rate is better than Jeju Bank. If you have the conditions, you can go to the foreign exchange bank outside the airport or shinhan bank outlets to exchange money, where the exchange rate is better.

Second, shopping. Personally, I think Silla Duty Free Shop is very good. The shopping environment there is good, and you can also use UnionPay cards. These goods are priced in dollars. When you swipe your card, you first convert it into won according to the exchange rate in the store, and then convert it into RMB according to the exchange rate of UnionPay. The exchange rates of the two companies are relatively fair. It's just that Silla store doesn't have many things, and there are no brands such as innisfree and skinfood.

Another recommended shopping place is Central Underground Street, where there are many Korean cosmetics brands, the face shop.

Missha, Etude, The Face Shop, Skinfood, innisfree, there are many kinds, and the prices are much cheaper than those in China. I bought a lot of Innisfree that I like. Also, the colors and styles of stockings there are beautiful, but the prices are small and expensive. Unfortunately, the ornaments are not as beautiful as expected, and they look similar to those in China. Shopping in Jeju is not as developed as in Seoul. I didn't see any specialty stores in Lan Zhi and Zanzhen, and the prices were not very cheap.

In terms of food, seafood is really delicious! Black pork is famous, but I don't seem to eat anything different from other pork. I also ate "home cooking" such as army hot pot, bibimbap and fried squid. All the feelings are the same taste, my tongue is burning. Now I deeply understand why people there always pour ice water before eating. I am a person who likes spicy food, but I can't afford those every day. However, seafood is really delicious! The live seafood there is basically sashimi, and frozen and pickled seafood is often used for roasting. We ate seafood casserole, scallops and a big plate of guys that looked like arctic shellfish, grilled hairtail, grilled saury, grilled salted snapper and grilled live squid. It's a pity that only one of us ate raw thorns, so we roasted them all, and saw the expression that the proprietress couldn't understand ... haha. That shellfish family impressed me the most, one ingredient, many ways to eat. Bake them on hot stones first, and they will spray water when heated. Boy! In order to prevent the meat from getting old, make soup in a small baking tray. The more the soup is cooked, the fresher it is, and the eyebrows are not enough. Especially the guy who looks like an arctic shell. He is so big that he ate so much of us, but he didn't expect to eat enough seafood. When we couldn't finish the soup, the proprietress asked us if we wanted to make porridge. We really can't, so we just touch our stomachs and make her laugh. One of the shells was not opened, and the proprietress took it down immediately after seeing it, and added two more, alive. Now I think this is still satisfactory.

Let's talk about traffic and itinerary first. Considering that the three of us don't know Korean, we took a simple bus+taxi way and did our homework in advance.

On the first day, we joined this group. The next day, I went to the east of Jeju Island, Chengshan Sunrise Peak, Niudao and Shedijiao. We had a big breakfast at the Oriental Hotel and then set off. By the way: the orange juice in the hotel is really delicious. It is absolutely 100% sugar-free and anhydrous, completely retaining the sweet and sour taste of Jeju orange. In the future, I will only drink orange juice for every breakfast drink, 2 cups! Ha ha. Let's take a taxi to the long-distance bus station outside the city for 3600 won, and then take a long-distance bus to Chengshan Sunrise Peak for 3000 won each. There are several long-distance lines, and each line has a fixed parking space. The bus for Chengshan stops at Gate 4. When you get on the bus, tell the driver that we are going to Sunrise Peak, and then sit in the first row. About 2 hours later, the driver's uncle reminded us to get off. Following the direction pointed by the driver's uncle, we walked for 10 minutes and saw the entrance of the sunrise peak, which was very smooth. There is a ticket office in Chengshan, but it seems to be open for free ... The scenery on Chengshan is good. After climbing down, we went to Niudao Bus Terminal. We think it will be a long walk, so we suggest taking a taxi.

The ferry to Niudao departs in two directions every hour, with a round trip of 5,500 won/person, and the one-way trip takes about 20 minutes, without additional tickets. When the cabin is covered with the floor, Koreans will take off their shoes and sit or simply lie down to rest. It is found that young people basically do not wear socks or cotton socks. Niudao is very big, so we take sightseeing bus to meet individual travelers, which costs 5,000 won/person. Sightseeing bus will stop at pasture, seaside and coral sand for tourists to move freely. Wait for the next bus at the designated bus stop after playing. Before getting off the bus, the driver will tell the tourists the departure time of the next bus. /kloc-there will be a bus in about 0/0 minutes. If you want to stay longer, there will be another bus in 40 minutes. I think coral sand is worth playing. The beach there is not sand, but coral fragments. The particles are very thick, which is different from ordinary beaches. When we went, it seemed that Korean students were on a spring outing. They had a crazy time. Several people work together to throw a boy into the sea, or a boy carries a girl into the sea until she is soaked to the skin. Screams came and went. Fortunately, the sea in Jeju is very clean. When you take the shuttle bus, you should pay attention to the small sign "Personal Sightseeing" in front of the bus. We only got on the chartered bus of other groups twice by mistake, which was very embarrassing.

After returning to the bus station, we found a taxi and went straight to the headland. The driver refused to hit the meter at a price of 5000 won and drove there for about 15 minutes. The rocks there are very special and red, unlike the black volcanic rocks in other parts of Jeju Island. It's a pity that I didn't see the legendary wild flowers everywhere. There is one in Chengshan. Then take a taxi to the bus stop at the foot of Sunrise Peak, stop diagonally opposite the station, or take a long-distance bus back to Jeju City at a price of 5,000 won. I was worried that the scenic spot would be difficult to fight in the suburbs. Fortunately, during the tourist season, many people take taxis to the scenic spots. Almost all the return taxis were caught by us in this way, and we were lucky.

Get up at 5: 30 the next day and go for a walk near the hotel to watch the sunrise. The air is so fresh. Then go back to the hotel, after breakfast, set off for China tourist area. Take a taxi to the airport terminal 600 first. There is no obvious 600 license plate on the car body. Anyway, the taxi driver uncle agreed. We sat at the International Convention Center Station, watched the column group with a fare of 3,900/person, and said hello to the driver's uncle. When he arrives, he will ask us to show us the way. The ticket for columnar joints is 2000/ person, only a small piece, which is really beautiful and unique after eight years. Then we'll go straight to teddy bear museum. If the weather is good, we can go there on foot. In the rainy season, we can also see the waterfall on the edge of heaven and earth and stroll under the valley. Unfortunately, there is no water and no waterfall now. It took us 30 minutes to walk slowly and get caught in the sun. We should have taken a taxi. teddy bear museum is 7000/ person, which is suitable for children and girls. After lunch, we took the 600 return bus at the gate of Silla Hotel. The return bus to Sekuipo and the return bus to Jeju Airport both stop at the hotel gate. Be careful not to take the bus in the opposite direction. We asked the hostess, and she would tell us the waiting time and fare, reminding us not to take the wrong bus. We got off at the entrance of Crown Hotel and found a taxi to go to Silla Duty Free Shop, 1800 won, which seems to be within walking distance, but it seems to be just brilliant. Silla duty-free shop, continue to take a taxi to the east of the underground shopping mall tower of Central Street, 3,900 won.

On the third day, we went to the location of the four gods of King Tai. It's in the same direction as the sunrise peak, so we still take a taxi to the long-distance bus station, and then take the bus to Chengshan at Gate 4 and get off at the "Xiande District 3" station. Ticket price 1000/ person, and the time is about 1 hour. When you tell the uncle of the driver about the virtue of the taxi, the uncle will understand. Opposite the station is the bus stop for the return trip, or the parking lot of Xiande Beach, where taxis are relatively concentrated. After learning that we were going to the Four Gods of King Tai, the drivers said that the price was 10000 won without taxiing, and it would take about 15 minutes to get there on the way. The meter showed 7900 won, but the driver still charged 10000. Because it was agreed in advance, we didn't talk to the uncle. When I came back, I had some trouble. There are no empty cars there, and the tourists who come to play are either teams or tourists who drive or charter cars. We turned to the management there. They called a taxi for us and took us to the lounge to enjoy grapefruit tea and coffee for free. The taxi arrived in about 20 minutes, took us to the bus stop of "Xiande District 3", charged 7900 by the meter, and confiscated the so-called empty fare. Uncle's character is really good, praise one! Then take a long-distance bus to Jeju city and go back to the city. There are buses on other routes. Please read the words in front of the bus. Back to the city, I almost took a taxi.

Jeju has good air, good environment and clean buses. After coming back, I feel that many places in Shanghai have not done enough. I want to go there for a holiday and eat delicious seafood again when I have the opportunity. I wanted to write less, but I wrote so much unconsciously. I hope my experience, especially the part about taking public transportation and the four gods of King Tai, can help my later friends.
