Topic: Nine Drunkard Men in Chinese History

Alcohol is something that men all over the world like. Wine ranks first in terms of sex, sex, and wealth, and it is also in front of sex and wealth, which shows its power. Because they love wine, people all over the world don’t hesitate to put the most beautiful names on wine.

Yuan Hongdao's words are a bit wordy, but in fact it is very simple to sum up. People who drink wine when they see it and have literary talent may not necessarily drink a lot, but they must be interested in drinking. It's not enough to just drink wine, you also have to be able to recite poems and compose poems. With this standard, the drunkards will naturally be ready to do it. Of course, there are more than nine drunkards in Chinese history who meet this standard, but the following are the ones with the most anecdotes and the most famous reputations.

1. Kong Rong

Everyone knows the story of Kong Rong Rangli, but not many people know that Kong Rong was an alcoholic. It is said that before the Han Dynasty, wine was drunk casually. It was not until the founding of Liu Bang that Xiao He legislated a ban on alcohol. Since then, every dynasty has banned alcohol to save food whenever the harvest was bad. When alcohol was not prohibited, everyone drank freely, and it was impossible to tell who was an alcoholic. But as soon as the prohibition was issued, no one else drank. Only the drunkards were still drinking, which made them stand out from the crowd. Cao Cao has always been a bit of a food phobia, which may be the sequelae of his life of cutting off people's food supply. Whenever there is a shortage of food, Cao Cao will issue a ban on alcohol. Most people have to restrain themselves no matter how much they want to drink at this time, but Kong Rong was not like this. He directly wrote a letter to Cao Cao, and wrote a long paragraph with great literary talent;

"Wine has been a virtue for a long time. In ancient times, wine has been a virtue. The sage king, like the Emperor Zongzong, harmonizes the gods and orders people to benefit all countries, and there is no other way than wine. Therefore, the sky shines like a wine star, and the earth is full of wine springs. The people of Yao do not have the virtue of wine. Build peace. Confucius is not worthy of becoming a saint. Fan Kuai can't extinguish the Hongmen. He can't arouse Zhao's anger without drinking wine. The Qi. Emperor Jing couldn't kill the white snake without being drunk. Emperor Jing couldn't revive it without the power of wine. He couldn't save the country without drinking a bunch of dendrobium. Therefore, Li Sheng was a drunkard in Gaoyang and made great contributions to the Han Dynasty; Qu Yuan did not support Chu and was trapped in Chu. From this point of view, why did wine fail the government? "

2. Zheng Quan

It is generally believed that northerners drink better than southerners. However, among the drunkards in the Three Kingdoms era, there was Kong Rong in the north, but there was one in the south who was better than him, and that was Zheng Quan, a native of Wu.

Zheng Quan is known as the "wonderful man in wine". According to the record of "Xiao Lin", Zheng Quan was "erudite, ambitious, and addicted to alcohol." His greatest wish in his life was: "I wish I could get a boat of five hundred dendrobiums of fine wine, and put it on both ends with the sweetness of the four seasons. I would not drink it again and again until I was exhausted." As soon as you stay and eat the food, the wine will rise and fall, and you will be better and happier!"

Brother Zheng Quan hopes that he will have a ship loaded with five hundred dendrobiums of wine, and put it on both sides of the ship. With your favorite snacks, you can drink as much as you want anytime, anywhere, and the wine will not be reduced. Drink a dou to refill a dou, drink a liter to replenish a liter, it will be automatically topped up, and the best of five hundred dendrobiums will always be maintained. state. The story of Brother Zheng Quan is reminiscent of a Western story. God asked a farmer in Denmark what he would want if he were allowed to realize three wishes. The Danish farmer said without thinking, I want a full barrel of beer. God gave him a barrel full of beer. The Danish farmer looked at this barrel of wine as if it was not enough, so he said slyly, "My second wish is to drink as much beer as I want." God fulfilled him again and asked him to make a third wish. The Danish farmer thought hard for a long time and said, "I really don't have any more wishes. How about a barrel of beer." Danish farmers don't even know how to order a dish to go with their wine, which shows that their drinking taste is still far behind Mr. Zheng Quan's.

Zheng Quan’s speaking level was much higher than Kong Rong’s. He served as a doctor under Sun Quan and often gave Sun Quan advice. Sun Quan said: "You make comments all day long, aren't you afraid that I will be angry?" Zheng Quan replied: I heard that the ministers of the King Shengming are upright. I dare to give my opinion, not because I am brave, but because you are Shengming. Later, one time he annoyed Sun Quan and Sun Quan wanted to kill him. The guards came up and dragged him out.

Zheng Quan looked back three times with one step. Sun Quan saw it and asked: "Aren't you afraid of my anger? Why do you keep looking back?" Zheng Quan replied: I know that you are wise and will not kill me, so when I look back at you, it is not because I am afraid, but because I am grateful for your kindness. Sun Quan laughed out loud when he was photographed, and when he felt happy, he let him go.

Mr. Zheng Quan drank wine all his life but still felt that it was not enough. Before he died, he repeatedly told his family: "I will be buried next to the Tao family. I will turn into soil a hundred years later. Fortunately, I took it as a wine pot. It really won my heart." Not only did he drink every day when he was alive, but he also hoped that after his death, his bones would turn into soil and be made into a wine pot, so that he could be soaked in wine forever. Life and death would be inseparable from wine. ! His persistence in drinking is truly astonishing. If he were living now, Zheng Quan’s last words would definitely be: After I am cremated, I don’t need to buy a box to put it in. I can just mix it with yellow mud and make it into a wine pot!

3. Tao Yuanming

Li Bai has a poem called "Drinking with a Quiet Man in the Mountains", which goes like this: Two people drink together while the mountain flowers bloom, one cup after another. I'm drunk and want to sleep, please go away. I want to bring Qin to you tomorrow morning.

I am drunk and want to sleep, please go away. This is a famous saying of Tao Yuanming, a big drunkard. Tao Yuanming was a drinker all his life. He liked to bring others to his home to drink. Once he got drunk first, he would say: "I am drunk and want to go." "Mian Qing, you can go." It means, I drank too much and am going to bed, please help yourself.

When Tao Yuanming was twenty-nine years old, he once served as a minor official in Jiangzhou. Because the officialdom was dark at that time, Tao Yuanming couldn't stand it, so he decided to resign and go into seclusion. He has been living in seclusion since then, but Tao Yuanming can grow chrysanthemums, but his farming skills are not good. Coupled with good wine, he can't even eat when he is middle-aged. Forced to make a living, Tao Yuanming comes back again, and has successively served as a member of the Zhenjun Army, Peng Zeling and other positions. . When he was serving as Peng Zeling, he couldn't stand the behavior of the postal supervisor at that time, so he simply said, "How can I bow down to a country boy for five buckets of rice!" After that, he resigned angrily and went into seclusion, ending his official career and never came back. Pass. According to legend, Tao Yuanming lived in seclusion at the foot of Lushan Mountain after abandoning his official position. He farmed and entertained himself every day, working at sunrise and resting at sunset, plowing the land for food, and digging wells for drinking. Living a leisurely rural life

. At this time, Tao Yuanming newly married his wife Zhai. Zhai was a good farmer and had good harvests every year. Therefore, Tao Yuanming had wine to drink. Whenever he had free time, he and a group of friends would go to the southern foot of Lushan Mountain two miles away. Drinking and having fun at the foot of Tiger Claw Cliff. There is a stream called Xingquan at the foot of the cliff. In the stream lies a huge black-brown granite stone, about 3 meters high, 6 meters long and 4 meters wide. The stone surface is smooth and it is a natural large wine table. Tao Yuanming and his friends would sit here every time, drink wine, compose poems, and have fun together. He would get drunk every time he drank, and he would compose poems every time he was drunk. After he was drunk, he waved his hands and said to his companions: "I'm drunk and want to sleep, please go away!" After saying that, he fell asleep on the stone. Day after day, the center of the stone became dented, leaving pillow marks. Therefore, this stone was named drunken stone. This story of Tao Yuanming is similar to the story of Marx stepping out of the library, but Marx may have sat in the same place in the library every time. Could it be that Tao Yuanming also sat in the same place on the stone every time? The most likely reason is that there were pillow marks on the stone. Tao Yuanming drank without a pillow, and would lie down and fall asleep whenever there was a pit. As time went on, the pit became deeper and deeper, and the stone was formed.

4. Liu Ling

Dukang made wine and Liu Ling was drunk. We cannot talk about drunkards without talking about Liu Ling. Liu Ling is from Anhui and one of the Seven Sages of the Bamboo Forest. He advocates the thought of Lao and Zhuang and emphasizes governing by inaction. Liu Ling is relatively short, less than 1.6 meters tall, and her appearance is not good for the audience. Therefore, she has not liked to interact with others since she was a child. It was not until she met Ruan Ji, another alcoholic, and several other members of the Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove that she We hit it off immediately and started a life of eating, drinking, having fun, drinking and composing poems.

Liu Ling once served as an official, but his idea of ??governing by doing nothing really did not meet the requirements of his superiors, so he was dismissed in the name of incompetence. However, Liu Ling's family had quite a bit of property and nothing. There is still wine to drink. He often rides in a deer cart with wine in the cart. He follows the cart wherever it goes, followed by a man carrying a shovel. His duty is to wait for Liu Ling to drink to death and bury him.

Although drinking in a car is ostentatious, it is not as enjoyable as drinking at home. Liu Ling likes to take off her clothes and run around naked while drinking. After all, it is her own home and no one else can control it. Once someone saw her, this gang People laughed at him for not being serious. As a result, Liu Ling learned and applied Lao Zhuang's quotations very well, and directly said: "I regard the heaven and the earth as my building, and the rooms as my trousers. Why do you get into my trousers?" Heaven and earth are my house. , this room is just my clothes, why are you trying to get into my pants when you have nothing to do?

Others could not control him, nor could they criticize him. Liu Ling’s wife couldn’t bear it and smashed all his wine jars and wine jars, forcing him to quit drinking. Liu Ling always drank and was not in good health, so she beat him. But my wife. He rolled his eyes and had an idea, and said: Okay, I promise to quit drinking. You buy some meat and wine and invite the folks over, and I announce my quitting drinking in public. My wife came back happily buying wine and meat. Liu Ling said: "I was born Liu Ling, and he took wine as his name. He drank one dendrobium and five measures of it. Don't listen to women's words!" After saying this, he started drinking and eating meat, and soon he became drunk again.

Liu Ling is famous for his poetry, but none of his works have been handed down to the world. He only has one famous ode to wine, which probably means something like this: "There was an old gentleman with noble virtues who opened up the world as a day and made it a day." Thousands of years are like a moment. Use the sun and the moon as doors and windows, and use the heaven and earth as the courtyard. There is no fixed path for walking, and there is no fixed house for living. Let your mind be free, and be at peace with whatever happens. I carried drinking utensils. I just indulged in a glass of wine and didn't know anything else. When they heard about my reputation, they rolled up their sleeves, rolled up their clothes, glared, and gritted their teeth. While talking about etiquette, everything happened at the same time. At this time, the gentleman was holding the wine jar, holding the wine cup, drinking the wine, stretching his legs and sitting on the pillow. Drunk and drunk, he suddenly wakes up and listens quietly. If he looks closely, he can't see the body of Mount Tai. Close to the body. The desire for profit. Looking at everything, it is like a piece of water floating on the Yangtze River and the Han River, drifting with the current, not worth mentioning." Some people praised him: "I have been drunk all my life, how sad will it be forever." People in the world love wine, maybe because the reality is too cruel, so only in wine can there be a paradise. But even if you can feel no sorrow when you are drunk, what will you do when you wake up?

5. Ruan Ji

Ruan Ji and Liu Ling are a pair of drunkards. He is from Henan and is a neighbor of Liu Ling from Anhui. However, Ruan Ji is much more handsome than Liu Ling. According to historical records, he has "a great appearance and great ambition." "Hong Fang". To put it simply, he is very manly, completely different from the skinny monkey Liu Ling. Ruan Ji and Liu Ling have a good friendship, firstly because they both love wine, but also because they both admire Zhuangzi. Moreover, Ruan Ji is full of energy, good at raising his head to the sky and roaring, he can also play the piano, and he writes good poems. However, few people praised him at that time because he ignored etiquette. When you are happy, you will get carried away. As the saying goes: "Don't forget your body. Many people at that time called it crazy."

When it comes to etiquette, everyone thinks of feudalism. In fact, there are etiquette in every era. To put it bluntly, The so-called unspoken rules, if everyone doesn't do it, but you insist on doing it, then everyone can only say that you are different, or simply a little crazy. Ruan Ji has done a lot of crazy things, and some of them are very cute. For example, he heard that there were three hundred barrels of fine wine in the cellar of the infantry camp, so he took the initiative to apply to be an infantry captain. In fact, he drank every day after he went there. After drinking, he wiped his mouth and left, so everyone called him Ruan Infantry. Another time, Ruan Ji's sister-in-law wanted to return to her parents' home, and Ruan Ji sent her to the entrance of the village. You know, at that time, the uncle and sister-in-law had to avoid suspicion when talking to each other, but Ruan Ji said that etiquette was not designed for people like me.

The above things all make Ruan Ji straightforward and cute, but the following things seem a bit strange. There is a beautiful hotel near Ruan Ji's house. The proprietress is a famous beauty. Ruan Ji went to drink when he had nothing to do. After drinking, Before he left, he lay down next to where the landlady was sitting and fell asleep. Maybe the male owner knew that Ruan Ji was not a pervert, not to mention that he came to spend all day, so he didn't even chase him away.

His old friend Du Zhisong invited him to teach etiquette. He said: Etiquette is rubbish. If I go to your house to talk about etiquette and you can't drink alcohol, it will stifle me to death, so I won't go.

The Sui Dynasty fell, and the imperial court recruited officials from the previous dynasty. Wang Ji used his former officials to serve under the imperial edict and go to the province. According to the custom, three liters of good wine are provided every day. Wang Ji's younger brother Wang Jing thought, doesn't his eldest brother dislike being an official? Why did Taizhao work for so long? It didn’t suit his character. So he asked Wang Ji, “Isn’t Taizhao very happy?” As a result, Wang Ji replied, “I make little money and am lonely. If it weren’t for this Three liters of wine a day, I would have given up my choice and left long ago." When his boss Chen Shuda heard about this, he gave him three liters to make it a bucket. This time Wang Ji stopped talking and just drank every day. Everyone admired his persistence in drinking and called him "Bachelor of Drinking."

Wang Ji has always admired Ruan Ji's style. He heard that Jiao Ge of Taile Department was good at making wine, so he applied to be Taile Cheng, feasting on wine every day. After Jiao Ge died, Wang Ji also learned how to make wine. Not only did he become self-sufficient in drinking, but he also wrote two books, "Jiu Jing" and "Wine Book". However, to the disappointment of the alcoholics, these two books today All have been lost. Wang Ji didn't get the title of Wang Taile either. After all, the first one to do this was a smart person, and the second one to do it was nothing new.

There was a huge stone to the southeast of Wang Ji's home. He broke the stone into pieces and built the Dukang Temple with the stone. He also enshrined his teacher Jiao Ge, who often gave him wine, in the temple. Wang Ji's famous poems all have a hint of alcohol, including "Drunk Hometown", "Mr. Wu Dou's Biography", "Wine Ode", "Drinking Alone" and "Drunk Queen". At that time, the celebrity Li Chunfeng praised him as the "South Director of the Restaurant". Nan Dong is the collective name of Nan Shi, the Qi historian, and Dong Hu, the Jin historian during the Spring and Autumn Period. Both are known for their outspokenness. Nam Dong refers to an excellent historian who is loyal to historical facts. Wang Ji is absolutely loyal to wine, and he deserves the title of Nan Dong of the restaurant.

7. Bi Zhuo

The Jin Dynasty was an era where drunkards emerged in large numbers. Why? It was not that the people of the Jin Dynasty were particularly good drinkers, but that the gentry system of the Jin Dynasty allowed these people with good backgrounds to drink. There are many drunkards who have climbed into official positions. It is always easier for an official drunkard to be written into a biography than a poor drunkard. If a poor person likes wine, it is called decadence, but if an official likes wine, it must be called elegance. Bi Zhuo is an example. To say that Bi Zhuo has no talent is obviously not true, but to say that a person like Bi Zhuo can take care of the people when he becomes an official is simply nonsense.

Bizhuo was born into a noble family, and became a Lang Guangan of the official department in the Western Jin Dynasty. But Bi Zhuo has no interest in sitting at a desk and counting boring numbers. The only career he is willing to devote himself to is drinking, because it is common for drinking to delay business. He publicly announced that his life ideal is to "hold a wine glass in his right hand, a crab claw in his left hand, and spend his whole life swimming in a floating wine boat." Because of this sentence, Bi Zhuo became a celebrity, and future generations will think of Bi Zhuo when they drink. , when eating crabs, I also think of Bi Zhuo. Sitting in a boat, drinking wine and eating crabs has become a state of bliss in the minds of many people. Bi Zhuo was even called the Crab God by crab sellers.

When Bi Zhuo was working as an official, a neighbor brewed wine. He actually went to secretly drink it at night, and he was so happy that his servants caught him. Because it was too dark, the neighbors could not see his face clearly, so they tied him there with a rope. Bi Zhuo was a thief after all, so he was too embarrassed to speak out. At daybreak, the neighbor took a look and realized that this was Bi Langguan who had stolen the wine. He quickly let him go and apologized profusely. Bi Zhuo was very cool and laughed loudly and said, "You let me smell the wine all night." Xiang, thank you very much. If you feel embarrassed, just let me get some wine and go back to drink. When the neighbor heard this, he hurriedly said, "How can you be so embarrassed? Just drink here and I will prepare some food and drinks for you." Bi Zhuo was so happy that he drank as much as he could near the wine vat, until he lay down beside the vat and couldn't get up. To this day, there is still a couplet among the people to encourage drinking: "If Bi Li gets drunk by the urn, he will immediately help Li Taibai back to his home." In fact, according to my estimation, Bi Zhuo often went to other people's houses to steal wine. The neighbors were embarrassed to criticize him, so they adopted the method of cleaning up Zhou Papi when the chicken crows in the middle of the night, pretending not to be able to see his face clearly, and letting him learn a lesson. Thinking of Big Drunkard's extremely thick skin, he not only didn't blush but also blatantly drank a lot of wine. There is nothing anyone can do when it comes to such a hob meat.

Basically, Bi Zhuo's poems have not been handed down, but one of his sentences is very famous, that is: "Confucianism disrupts the law with literature, and chivalry violates prohibition with martial arts." It is liked in many martial arts novels Quote this quote. The great painter Qi Baishi admired Bi Zhuo very much. He once painted a picture of "Bi Zhuo Stealing Wine" with the title: "The prime minister returned to his fields with no money in his pocket. He would rather be a thief than damage his integrity." Pedro's stolen wine has also become one of the folk tales.

8. Huai Su

Du Fu drank the Eight Immortals' Song, one of which is called "The Legend of Zhang Xu's Three Cups of Grass", taking off his hat and uncovering his head in front of the prince, and swiping paper like clouds of smoke. If Zhang Xu can be included in the Eight Immortals of Drinking, he is also an extremely advanced drunkard. However, Zhang Xu's cursive script and Huai Su are both called "Dian Zhang Zui Su", which means that Mr. Zhang Xu's level of drunkard has only reached the level of Ding, while Huai Su has already At the point where they were drunk nine times a day, when others asked them why they could practice calligraphy to this level, Zhang Xu replied: "with heart". Huai Su answered them with actions. That's drinking.

Huaisu is a monk, but this monk never meditates, eats meat, gets drunk, wanders around, and writes in cursive. Huaisu had been doing these four things all his life. Even when he slept, he only slept because he was drunk. Huaisu is a native of Hunan. He became a monk since he was a child. Huaisu is very good at calligraphy. People rarely hear him chanting Buddha's name. But he was often seen washing ink in the well. A monk who neither chants sutras nor pollutes everyone's water sources is quickly expelled.

Huaisu returned home and began to practice calligraphy. Huaisu liked to write cursive scripts and could write tens of millions of them in an instant. For him who had no income, buying paper was really a big financial burden. But Huaisu was Huaisu after all. He had many methods. He planted more than 10,000 banana plants near his residence. Banana leaves are big and wide, like a wide piece of rice paper. You can let go of your hands and feet and write freely, and you can write repeatedly. When you're hungry, there are plantains to eat. In addition to banana leaves, Huaisu also used lacquer plates and lacquer boards instead of paper. Finally, the plates were written through and the pen became bald. Huaisu buried these things together, which was called the "Bi Zhong".

Having mastered calligraphy, Huai Su also has money for drinks. If you want to invite him to write, you have to invite him to drink. As long as you feel the sensation after drinking, you will be able to do it immediately. A good wine monk's calligraphy Of course, the family was the target of speculation, so the effects of wine were hyped to miraculous proportions, and Huai Su became an ecstatic god. Huai Su claimed to "drink to nourish one's nature, and write in cursive to smooth one's mind." At that time, almost all the famous families prepared fine banquets and invited Huai Su to their homes to entertain him warmly. Huaisu had nothing else to ask for, and he didn't need any food or drinks. After a few glasses of wine, he was in high spirits. In an instant, the screen of that house was covered with flowing cursive writing.

After becoming a star, Huaisu began to pursue the highest realm of calligraphy and began to visit famous calligraphers, such as Yan Zhenqing, Wu Tong, etc. When he visited Yan Zhenqing, he left a good story.

Yan Zhenqing asked Huaisu: In addition to being taught by teachers, learning calligraphy must also have your own experience. Zhang Xu watched Gu Peng vibrating on his own, flying on the sand, and mastered the low and looping shape of cursive script. Has Wu Tong ever told you his experience?

Huaisu replied: Master Wu believes that cursive writing can be understood from the folding of hairpins. Er Zhenqing smiled and said nothing after hearing this. Since then, I haven’t discussed calligraphy with Huai Su for a long time.

Huaisu felt very sorry and was ready to leave.

Yan Zhenqing did not hold back, but he suddenly said: What do you think of the leakage marks in the house?

After a few days of silence, Huaisu suddenly realized: the rainwater will leak in the house. The wall winds down gracefully. Because the wall is made of mud, the water droplets are attracted and restrained by the mud during the dripping process due to their own gravity, and cannot go down quickly, forming a dignified and tortuous beauty. This is an effective way for calligraphy to avoid being too smooth and unable to enhance the sense of solemnity. This is the secret of cursive writing

Yan Zhenqing asked again: What is your own experience?

Huai Su casually said Answer: The poor monk observes that there are many strange peaks in the summer clouds, and they have no permanent momentum due to the change of wind. From Xia Yunsuifeng, I realized the ever-changing nature of cursive script. This change is so pleasant that it is like a bird emerging from the forest and a snake entering the grass. The threads between the strokes are like the natural cracks in the wall, one by one, natural and without any trace of artificial carving.

Huaisu finally understood the true meaning of calligraphy and became the representative figure of Kuangcao, the Drunken Monk Huaisu, and thus became famous in the world of calligraphy and wine throughout the ages. It is said that Huaisu had a habit of writing on other people's clothes when he was drunk. So in order to get his calligraphy, many people put on white robes and stood in front of him to pretend to be a screen when they saw him drinking. They often got his handwriting, which was much more convenient than getting autographs from celebrities now.

9. Li Bai

Li Bai wrote hundreds of poems in one fight. He went to sleep in a restaurant in Chang'an City, but the emperor called him and could not get on the boat. He claimed that he was a wine immortal.

In history, Li Bai was called the Master of Wine. This was not because of Li Bai’s drinking capacity, but because Li Bai was too famous for his poetry. Li Bai was from Gansu, and some people have verified that he was born in Kyrgyzstan. But no matter where he was born, there is no doubt that he is Chinese. It is said that when Li Bai was born, his mother dreamed that Chang Geng star, also known as Taibai Venus, was in her arms, so she named him Li Bai, with the courtesy name Taibai. There is also a story about the origin of Li Bai's name. When Li Bai was young, Li Bai's parents took Li Bai for an outing in the wild. The spring was bright and flowers were in bloom. Li Bai's father, Li Ke, was very interested in poetry and immediately recited two lines of poetry: " The spring breeze brings warmth and the buds bloom, and they come first to welcome the new year." Li Bai's mother was also unambiguous, and then chanted: "The fire burns the apricot forest and the red clouds fall..." Before the next sentence could be uttered, Li Bai pointed to the side and blurted out: "The plum blossoms are in full bloom and the whole tree is white." His parents took a look and saw a plum tree beside the road, which was full of white flowers in full bloom. Li Bai's father read these four lines of poetry together and felt that his son's line was the best, so he happily named him Li Bai. However, Chinese people prefer stories such as Wenquxing descending to earth and Wuquxing descending to earth. This story about poetry is generally ignored automatically. Later, Li Bai went to Beijing to show his poems to He Zhizhang. He Zhizhang, who was in his eighties, was so excited that his old eyes shone with excitement when he saw Li Bai's poem about the difficult road to Shu. He insisted that Li Bai was the descendant of Taibai Venus, so Li Bai got the nickname "Exiled Immortal". .

It is said that Li Bai "observed strange books in the fifteenth year and wrote a poem about Ling Xiangru". The local county magistrate came here to recite poems and couplets with him. One summer, the river surged. The county magistrate and Li Bai came to the Fujiang River. Suddenly, a female corpse floated up from the upper reaches. People on the shore screamed loudly. Li Bai thought that the county magistrate would send people to salvage it, but he didn't expect that the county magistrate, like the common people, would just stand there and watch the fun, with an excited expression on his face. The female corpse floated to the shore in the reeds, and it turned out to be a beautiful girl. Li Bai felt sorry, but the county magistrate twirled his beard and laughed and recited a poem:

Whose daughter is this? Floating to the bank and leaning against the reeds. Birds peep at the green on their brows, and fish see the red at the side of their mouths.

The county magistrate was very proud after reciting, thinking that he had finally defeated Li Bai once. He boasted a few words and found that no one said anything. Looking back, Li Bai despised his approach and had left long ago. Later, Li Bai learned that the girl threw herself into the river because she resisted the violence of the bully, so he became angry and compassionate. He wandered around to find the bully, pulled out his sword and killed the man, avenging the girl. According to historical records, Li Bai once killed several people, and this was one of them. From then on, Li Bai left Bashu, went to the country with his sword, and traveled around the world.

No one looked down on Li Bai when he drank, and he dared to ask Gao Lishi to take off his boots. However, Li Bai was not the kind of Liu Ling Bi Zhuo who drank blindly. He always wanted to be an official to achieve his goal. His own ambitions, so he wrote a self-recommendation letter to each of the two officials. With his literary talent, it was easy to praise others. His self-recommendation letter to Pei Changshi of Anzhou included the following sentences: People at that time sang and said: "Why are the guests and friends so noisy day and night at Pei Gong's gate? I wish I could get a word from Pei Gong, and I don't have to drive my horse to Hua Xuan. I don't know how the king got this sound between heaven and earth. He couldn't help but keep his promise and love the virtuous, and be humble." Also?" In his self-recommendation letter to another official Han Jingzhou, Li Bai wrote: "Bai heard that the world's talkers gathered together and said: I don't need to be granted the title of Marquis of Ten Thousand Households in my life, but I hope to get to know Han Jingzhou."

It can be said that these two officials were lucky enough to have Shixian come to flatter them, but these two also knew what kind of material they were and believed that Li Bai was sarcastic. Fortunately for Han Jingzhou, Pei Changshi directly accused Li Bai of slander. Li Bai went to Beijing in anger and traveled around for more than ten years. He finally made a name for himself and was admitted to the Imperial Academy by Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty.

However, this job had a nice name, but it was actually about writing poems for the emperor's amusement. Li Bai simply got drunk every day and showed his madness. Finally, he was fired and returned to his civilian status.

The darkness of the officialdom was Li Bai's misfortune, but it was a great blessing for later generations. From then on, Li Bai roamed the world of poetry and wine.
