From Nanchang to Fenghuang Ancient City in Hunan

I studied in Jishou University and have traveled between Changsha and Nanchang many times, so I will provide you with some reference advice.

There is no direct bus from Nanchang to Phoenix, so you have to transfer in Changsha. You have two choices from Nanchang to Changsha: one is to take the T147 at 13:20 noon, which will arrive in Changsha at 18:17; the other is to take the D205 at 16:52 pm, which will arrive in Changsha at 19:52.

After arriving in Changsha, you can buy the ticket k9024/k9025 at 22:57, which is the departure train, and you can probably buy it. The time to arrive in Jishou is 06:46 the next day. This train goes in a small circle and takes about two hours from Zhangjiajie than from Huaihua.

After arriving at Jishou Railway Station, there is a Tielv Hotel on the right side of the exit. There is a minibus to Phoenix there, and the fare should be about 20 yuan. (I graduated two years ago, so I don’t remember the exact number)

After arriving in Phoenix, accommodation can be arranged in a family hotel by the Tuojiang River. It is very cheap in the off-season, about 30 yuan. The night view of Tuojiang River is quite beautiful. There aren’t many places to go. I’ll take a boat ride in the evening, stroll around the ancient city, find some delicious snacks, and go to a bar in the evening. It won’t cost much if you go alone.

Based on the online train fares, it costs 61 from Nanchang to Changsha, 44 from Changsha to Jishou, and 20 from Jishou to Fenghuang. 125 one way, 250 round trip. The rest of the expenses can be taken care of by yourself. In short, a thousand pieces is enough.
