What kind of ancient city and cultural charm does Vietnam have?
Many tourists know that Old Town of Lijiang, Yunnan Province, China, has been included in the World Heritage List. In fact, there is one in Vietnam? Old Town of Lijiang? It is located in the ancient town of Huian, Quang Nam Province in central Vietnam.
As early as 1999, Hoi An became a world cultural heritage, only one year behind Old Town of Lijiang, China.
In the past, Vietnam gave the impression that it was poor and backward. Is this still the case?
When I came to Hui 'an Ancient Town from Da Nang, I saw rivers, neat streets and reasonable layout. It's not messy or shabby.
Walking on the streets of the ancient town of Hui 'an, you can see some men in green hats passing by from time to time. The beautiful Aodai shows the graceful posture of local women to the fullest. This kind of dress is a bit like China cheongsam, but it has obvious tropical style, and it is a traditional Vietnamese dress.
The buildings in the ancient town of Hui 'an are all exquisite, with yellow as the main color. These buildings have a strong French aesthetic, and some details are mixed with local customs and China characteristics. The reason is that Vietnam was once a colony of France. In remote ancient times, northern Vietnam was directly subordinate to the Central Plains Dynasty, and later it was an overseas vassal state of the Central Plains Dynasty for a long time, which was deeply influenced by Chinese civilization in culture. Chinese characters used to be official characters, not to mention folk buildings.
Most of the buildings in the ancient town of Hui 'an have two or three floors, and each building is unique. All kinds of flowers and yellow buildings naturally exude a sense of petty bourgeoisie. It is a favorite photo resort for many literary tourists.
There are many exquisite restaurants and coffee shops in the ancient town of Huian. Coconut sugar and Vietnamese coffee are the specialties here. Drinking afternoon tea is a tradition of some Hui 'an people, and this freehand lifestyle is deeply influenced by French colonists.
Enjoying life requires a good economic foundation. From this perspective, the Vietnamese living in Hoi An are not poor, and some people still live a well-off life, as can be seen from their buildings. After all, they don't have any financial resources, so they don't care too much about details.
The covered bridges in the ancient town of Huian are in Japanese style. Next to this bridge are French buildings with yellow walls and black tiles. The two buildings are as beautiful as a colorful oil painting against the background of river water and green trees.
Hui 'an Daiding Bridge is a stone bridge. Construction started as early as 1593 and was completed on 1595. At the western end of the bridge, there are two exquisite dog sculptures, representing that it was built in the Year of the Dog, and at the eastern end of the bridge, there are two monkey statues, representing that it was built in the Year of the Monkey.
Visiting the streets and alleys of Hoi An, I found that China buildings are everywhere, and Chinese characters can be seen in every section of the road, giving me a feeling of the ancient city of China. Although these Chinese characters are all traditional, China tourists can basically understand them, but some locals don't quite understand them. This is the cultural barrier caused by the conversion of abandoned Chinese characters into Vietnamese in Vietnam's early years.
Hoi An was a port in the 5th century and became the commercial center of Southeast Asia in the 6th century. The prosperity of that year was comparable to that of Singapore now. /kloc-in the 0 th and 8 th centuries, Hoi An was gradually abandoned, and it was not until UNESCO carried out a large-scale renovation that it restored its former glory.
Hui 'an is an important commercial port for China people to go to Southeast Asia. Businessmen in southeast and south China of China once promoted the local economic development. Historical buildings such as the Chinese Temple, Chaozhou Guild Hall, Fujian Guild Hall, Zhao Guang Guild Hall and Wushe Pavilion in the ancient city have now become popular attractions, attracting tourists from all over the world.
