Norgai Grassland Four-Day Tour Itinerary

Accommodation: Hongyuan Day 2: After breakfast, drive to Ruoergai Prairie, the largest prairie in Sichuan, and take the beautiful and mysterious Tallinn in Waqie (own expense 20) to the first bend of the Jiuqu Yellow River. Appreciate the Yellow River on the grassland, which is only suitable for interjections! The spectacular scenery will make you feel admired! Visit the Everglades (Riganqiao Wetland) where the Red Army marched, collect wild mushrooms, and enjoy the scenery of the Yellow River.
Then drive to Huahu, a grassland lake located in the yurt dam. Huahu, named after the flowers in the water, is the largest and flattest wetland grassland in China. There are hundreds of acres of aquatic plants around Hua Lake, which is a plateau wetland biodiversity nature reserve. The reserve is dominated by black-necked cranes. You can walk on the pontoon and be intoxicated by the lake water and the fragrance of flowers.
Accommodation: Hongyuan Day 3: After breakfast, feel the fresh air of the grassland, ride a horse across the grassland, pass through Miyaluo Scenic Area, enjoy the sunset on the alpine grassland, and then return to Qiang Village. You can soak in hot springs at your own expense in the evening to wash away the fatigue of the day.
Accommodation: Gurgou Day 4: After breakfast, go to Taoping Qiang Village to visit, which is a mysterious and ancient oriental castle.
Wander the maze of ancient alleys, appreciate the exquisite ancient Qiang architectural art, climb the millennium watchtower, unlock the millennium anti-theft lock, visit the folk culture exhibition hall, taste Qiang delicacies, taste various fruits, and experience the ancient folk customs of Qiang Village style. Reasons for the five-day trip: There is a large loop line from the first bend of the Jiuqu Yellow River to Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong. This line contains the story of the official village watchtowers in Li County and is also connected with the summer scenery and customs of Miyaluo. It is really refreshing to climb up to Partridge Mountain and look out into the distance. Walking into the Hongyuan Prairie, you will feel the historical moment: how the Red Army walked out of the grassland wetlands under the leadership of Comrade Mao Zedong. Retracing the Long March, you will feel the ambition of the Chinese Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army to resist the war regardless of hardships and dangers.

Day 1: Chengdu - Song Fan - Chuanzhu Temple (318km) Overnight accommodation: Chuanzhu Temple will gather in Chengdu in the morning, pass the famous ancient water conservancy project of Dujiangyan, and go retrograde along the fast Minjiang River to Sichuan From the main temple, enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Minjiang River Valley. On the way you can even see the 7.5 magnitude earthquake that occurred at 15:30 on August 25, 1933.
The next day: Overnight at Garitai Ruoergai (147km), the main temple in Sichuan: Breakfast continues in Ruoergai and enters the vast Ruoergai prairie, Norgai County with an altitude of 3,500 meters. The main shooting spot is Huahu Lake , Jiuqu First Bend of the Yellow River, etc. Huahu is located about 40 kilometers northwest of Norgai County and is the largest plateau wetland on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Flower Lake is just one of the swamp lakes. Flower Lake is named after the beautiful flowers blooming in the water every August due to the aquatic plants in the shallow water. The water surface of Huahu Lake is vast. The water doesn't look deep, but there's an unfathomable swamp underneath. There are large reeds growing beside the lake, which are green in summer and golden in autumn and winter. There is also a wooden trestle built specifically for tourists in the water.
The works shot here are very quiet, forming a refreshing style compared with other magnificent scenes on the plateau. There are many uncertainties when shooting in the Norgai grassland. Sometimes, large groups of cattle and sheep will suddenly come over the open grassland, and you may encounter herders' tents on the grassland at any time. Tibetan herdsmen also live a peaceful life
(You can consider the roast lamb party that night.) Day 3: Ruoergai Tangke Hongyuan (131km) Overnight accommodation: Hongyuan continues after breakfast. Today’s first stop is the first bay of the Jiuqu Yellow River, located in Tangke Township, Norgai County, at the junction of Sichuan, Qinghai and Gansu provinces.
The water of the Yellow River floats slowly from the horizon like a fairy's ribbon, gently caressing the edge of Sichuan. In addition, there are Tibetan villages along the Yellow River, where you can take photos of Tibetan folk customs. There are also pieces of prayer flags on the river bank, adding a mysterious atmosphere to the beautiful first bend of the Jiuqu Yellow River. Passing through Wache, you will enter the vast red plains. Hongyuan is another prairie adjacent to Norgai. Its terrain is flat, with an average altitude of 3,600 meters.
Wache Tallin, Fanxiang Daci Falun Temple, temples, lamas, yaks, herdsmen, grasslands, and rivers all appear peaceful, harmonious, and mysterious. Day 4: Miyaluo, Zhuokejiguanzhai, Hongyuan (total 285km). Overnight accommodation: Gurgu Today should be a full day, the longest day of driving. After breakfast, we will head to our destination Gulgou Hot Spring. First pass the entrance of Partridge Mountain and go to Zhuokejiguan Village on the way. Zhuo Keji means table in Tibetan. The ancestor of Tusi Zhuoji is Si Dangbang in the Yuan Dynasty, which has been passed down for 18 generations. The existing Guanzhai was built in 1918 by Suo Guanyuan, the seventeenth chieftain. The TV series "The Ashes Has Settled" was filmed here. After passing Miyaluo Scenic Area, you will arrive at Gurgou. You can soak in hot springs in the evening to wash away your fatigue.
Day 5: Miyaluo-Li County-Taoping-Chengdu (total distance 260 kilometers) After breakfast, set off on the way home and visit Taoping Qiang Village, which is known as the living fossil of Qiang architecture. Taoping Qiang Village completely retains the characteristics of the ancient Qiang people, with mountains on its back and water on its back, with a compact and complete layout. Walking into Taoping, you will see ancient Qiang dwellings with thousands of years of history. These buildings are all made of stone, with some heights, some lows, and undulations. Walking into Tao Ping is like walking into a maze of deep, shallow and twists and turns.
Therefore, Tao Ping was called the mysterious Eastern Castle, and then arrived in Chengdu, ending a pleasant trip. The first day of the seven-day tour: Chengdu-Dujiangyan-Wenchuan-Miyaluo-Hongyuan-Aba County, stay in Aba County at night. Departing from Chengdu around 08:00 in the morning, we will enjoy the scenery of Western Sichuan, Tibetan and Qiang customs and the Minjiang River Valley scenery along the way, and arrive at Miyaluo, a famous red leaf scenic spot. Tour the beautiful scenery along the way, accompanied by the gurgling water of the Zagunao River, and pass through the highest altitude in China. This was the meeting point of the Third and Fourth Front Armies of the Red Army during the Long March, and later crossed the tea town of Liangzi, the watershed between the Yangtze River and the Yellow River in Zhejiang Province. In front of you is the endless Longriba Prairie, where you can ride on horseback and reach Aba County at night.
The whole journey is about 476 kilometers and takes about 8-10 hours. The next day: Aba County - Nianbaoye. Spend the night in Aba (about 3200 meters above sea level). Aba County - Nianbaoye is more than 80 kilometers away. After breakfast, accompanied by the soulful prairie pastoral songs, we drove to the virgin land where man, God and nature were born together. In the year, Baoye was born. When you arrive at the Nianbao Yeze Scenic Area, ride a horse with unique winding paths on the grassland (riding fee not included), and enjoy the rugged mountain peaks and deep and quiet plateau lakes. The entire Nianbao Yeze Scenic Area is the ancient battlefield of the Battle of King Gesar. This is a huge scenic spot with huge scale, majestic mountains, nearly a thousand lakes, silver waterfalls and many stories of King Gesar. In the evening, we cycled back to the foot of the mountain and took a bus to Aba County.
You can also visit the unique Tibetan villages in Aba County along the way and stay in Aba County at night. Day 3: One-day religious and cultural tour of Aba County (about 3,200 meters above sea level). After getting up early, visit the famous Tibetan Buddhist temples Langyi Monastery and Kirti Monastery in Aba. I was really lucky to see the shocking scenes of monks and nuns drinking butter tea and doing morning lessons with their paws and rakes. Day 4: Aba County Yaluotangke Jiuqu Yellow River first bend Ruoergai Su Ruoergai (about 3300 meters above sea level) After getting up early, facing the bright morning light, accompanied by the boundless grassland, we drove from Aba Take a tour of the first bend of the Yellow River and visit the spectacular sight of the first bend of the Yellow River. Arrive in Zoige County in the evening and stay in Zoige County. There are more than 180 highways throughout the journey. Mostly gravel roads.
Day 5: Ruoergai-Huahu-Langmusi Town (about 3200 meters above sea level) After breakfast, visit Huahu, a grassland lake located in Geerba. The hundreds of acres of aquatic grassland surrounding Huahu Lake are a plateau wetland biodiversity nature reserve.
The reserve is dominated by black-necked cranes, which can walk on the pontoons. Then drive to Langmusi, the border of Sichuan and Gansu provinces. Visit the ancient Namogeldi Temple in Sichuan Province and the Dakang Langmusi Temple in Gansu Province. You can visit the Tibetan Celestial Burial Platform in Andakang of Langmusi Temple at your own expense. and the "Living Buddha Body Method" of Gerdi Temple. The entire journey is gravel road.
Day six: Langmusi - Jiuqu - Tangke - Waqie - Chuanzhu Temple, a total distance of more than 200 kilometers, and stay at Chuanzhu Temple (about 3300 meters above sea level) in the evening. After getting up early, I said goodbye to the endless grassland and drove through Tangke and Waqie Townships to enjoy the scenery along the way. Arrive at Chuanzhu Temple in the evening and check into the hotel. Most of the entire journey is divided into asphalt roads, and Langmusi-Tongke is a gravel road.
Day 7: Dujiangyan, Miaomao County, Sichuan, Chengdu, more than 200 kilometers. Get up early and drive back to Chengdu to appreciate the scenery of Western Sichuan, Tibetan and Qiang customs and the Minjiang River Valley. Then return to Chengdu via Maoxian County and Dujiangyan, ending the pleasant journey.
