"Unifying Ten Thousand Cities"-Reading and Traveling

This is a novel describing Helian Bobo and Kumarajiva. Because I was going to Jingbian County to visit the Tongwan City ruins, I specially found this book to read.

The capital city built by Helian Bobo of the Great Xia Kingdom was also the only capital city built by the Huns!

This trip stopped in Yulin, so I spent a day in Yulin. As one of the nine important towns in the Ming Dynasty, Yulin still has a lot of historical and cultural heritage!

Day 1: Arrive in Yulin by plane. Looking down from the window of the plane, I saw a long and narrow light strip. I looked at the time and analyzed that it should be Yulin at 8:05 pm! The plane landed on time at 8:20 in the evening. After that, I asked the airport staff how they usually go to the city. They answered that they took a bus and the fare was 25. Then I asked them how much a taxi cost, and they still hesitated. He hesitated and said it was hard to say the price. I asked why. He thought for a long time before telling me that taxi drivers would ask for random prices. Well, then I asked about Shenzhou or Didi. Are they available here? He said there are some, and the price is similar to the price of a taxi that doesn't charge a random price.

Then I called Didi for half an hour to arrive at the Century Essence Hotel. 40 yuan was not expensive. Thank you now. I feel that the bus price is unreasonable. You are only 40 when you take a taxi, and you are in the city. In the south, the airport bus costs 25, which is too expensive!

I walked around the area in the evening and found that a box of 52-degree Guojiao 1573 costs 850 yuan a bottle, which is about 100 yuan a bottle cheaper than in the eastern region!

In the evening, we went to the famous Brothers BBQ in Yulin for a late-night snack!

The next day: When I woke up in the morning, I first arrived at Yulin Shahe Park, which is right next to the hotel. I originally wanted to go to the library and museum next to the park, but when I came there, I saw that it was still a construction site, so I went to the park first. Take a look, there is a memorial hall and folk museum in the park.

See the park introduction at the entrance. This park is located on the south bank of Shahe River. I walked around but didn’t see the river. I walked nearby at night and saw a bridge. There was no water under the bridge. I guess it was the Shahe River. ! The rivers in Yulin generally have little water, but the riverbed is very deep, tall and wide. I wonder if there is a lot of water in summer and autumn?

Banners and slogans about cracking down on crime and promoting social integrity are hung everywhere in the park. However, as a public institution, the Yulin Folk Museum and the Yu Zijun Memorial Hall are closed and stopped at any time.

If we haven’t done this kind of conventional thing well, why are we talking about cracking down on gangs and eradicating evil? I wonder, is this kind of dereliction of duty and occupying the toilet the biggest evil?

Why are you so willful when your studies are closed for a day?

Also, the Yu Zijun Memorial Hall is closed two days a week, but it opens in the afternoon on the five days it is open! It’s open four hours a day, so awesome!

After Shahe Park, we took a taxi to Zhenyuanmen (Lingxiao Tower is also nearby)

There is no water in the river between the two scenic spots

Zhenyuanmen is the southeast corner of the ancient city wall of Yulin. To the west of the ancient city wall of Yulin is the current Great Wall Road, to the west is the Yuxi River, and to the east is the current Tuofeng Road. Tuofeng Road is a small mound, also known as Tuofeng Mountain!

The Lingxiao Tower is outside the ancient city, and the surrounding area is being repaired. I finally reached the foot of the tower, climbed up, and found that the door was locked, and it was impossible to get up like the Zhenyuan Gate!

There are two cave dwellings under the Lingxiao Tower, as shown at the bottom of the picture above

There is an old street to the north of Zhenyuan Gate, which is called the "Six-Floor Qi Street". "Street" specifically refers to: after entering the south gate of Yulin City, there are six ancient pavilions that appear in the middle of the street from south to north. The road passes between the pillars or door openings under them. It is called "louqijie" There is no better way to describe it. Wenchang Pavilion, Wanfo Tower, Xingming Tower, Bell Tower, Kaige Tower and Drum Tower.

The Bell Tower above Yulin Ancient Street

There is a section of the city wall in disrepair at the Yulin Acropolis in the northern section of North Street (the intersection of the northern and western sections of the ancient city wall).

It has been in disrepair for a long time. Public signs and scaffolding were erected. Then when I was taking pictures, I met an old man, who was probably in his 60s, 70s or 80s. He saw me taking pictures and asked Did I come to repair the city wall? I said no, I just came to take a look and visit. I originally wanted to communicate with the old man, but I can’t understand the old man’s Mandarin.

Zhenbeibao is in Yulin City Three kilometers to the north, it echoes the Lingxiao Tower in the south of the city. This platform is a high platform in the middle of the Great Wall. The purpose is to climb high and look far away to see the enemy. It has been developed into a scenic spot. In fact, it surrounds this platform and a section of the surrounding Great Wall. Come on, tickets are RMB 30, free exchange with local ID card, children under 1.2 meters are free, and half price for children under 18 years old.

I stood at the highest point of Zhenbei Terrace and saw a pool of water in the northwest. I didn’t know if it was the Hongshixia Reservoir. A boulder of more than ten meters.

Zhenbeitai, this scenic spot is very small. If I don’t read the written introduction of the scenic spot, I can finish it in 5 minutes. This place is actually a lookout. I read some of the words Brief introduction: Zhenbeitai is really a lookout post!

After Zhenbeitai, we went to Hongshixia Reservoir. The pool of water we just saw in Zhenbeitai was really the Hongshixia Reservoir. As for why we didn’t see the boulders on both sides, it was because the boulders were not high. It is more than ten meters above the ground, but more than ten meters above the bottom of the canyon.

It is not recommended to go to the Hongshi Gorge Scenic Area. It is of little significance. It is originally a canyon with the Yuxi River at the bottom. A dam was built in a certain section, the upper section became a reservoir, and the lower section enclosed a scenic spot!

Day Three:

Today we entered the main body and arrived at the destination of this parade - Tongwan City. Tongwan City was built in 413 AD and completed in 418 AD. It was rebuilt from Sheyan City in the Han Dynasty. It was built by Helianbobo, so it is also called Helian City. The ruins of the capital of the Great Xia Kingdom, established by Helianbobo, a noble of the Southern Xiongnu during the Eastern Jin Dynasty, are also the only capital ruins left by the Huns in the long history of mankind. It is the earliest and most famous capital in northern China, with a history of nearly 1,600 years. Later, when Tuoba Tao, Emperor Taiwu of the Northern Wei Dynasty, unified the north, Tongwan City was captured and was established as Tongwanjun Town.

In the Sui Dynasty, Tongwan City was under the jurisdiction of Shuofang County and was the seat of Shuofang County.

During the Five Dynasties, Xiazhou was ruled by the Li family of the Dangxiang clan. The predecessor of the Xixia Kingdom was based in present-day Yinchuan, but Tongwan City still occupied a very important position in military and transportation.

In the early years of the Northern Song Dynasty, Tongwan City was occupied by the Xixia people and they cut off Xiazhou. After that, the Song Dynasty and Xixia conquered each other. In 994 AD (the fifth year of Chunhua), the Song army captured Xiazhou, and Taizong ordered the people to move and destroy the city.

Due to the underdeveloped tourism industry in Yulin, Yulin cannot directly reach Tongwancheng, and there are no one-day tours (Yan'an does have one-day tours to Tongwancheng). In addition to Tongwancheng, other There are one-day tours to the attractions...

If you want to go to Tongwan City, you need to take a bus to Jingbian County first, and then take a bus from Jingbian County to Baichengze (meaning Baicheng Village).

I took a car directly from the city and arrived there in two and a half hours with a toll of 256?20! When I got to the door, I had to buy a ticket. I heard before that you don’t have to buy a ticket if you don’t drive in. I asked the ticket office and they didn’t give a direct answer. They just said that it’s quite far up there, so let’s drive up... I said, how many tickets can I buy? I bought two tickets. I said I only had one person, the driver, and he agreed to buy one ticket... After entering, I walked around with the driver for an hour and it was over. As I walked, I explained to the driver what I understood. The Great Xia Kingdom and that period of history... Then I thought about it alone and meditated for half an hour.

They were all ruins, city wall ruins, very primitive, with no repairs except for the barbed wire fence! It was built with white soil, so it is a white city wall

This is the best-preserved and highest city wall. It should be the sentry tower at the corner of the city wall... There are some small holes on it. The local driver said they are the nests of sand geese. , I said this wall should not be so strong, the driver said that it was carved out with his mouth day after day, year after year.

This is a cave dwelling seen at the ruins of the city wall. The local residents made full use of resources. , cave dwellings were excavated on the city wall. According to the local driver, the cave dwellings were warm in winter and cool in summer...

At the Tongwan City ruins, we also saw salix and caragana (the kind planted in Alipay Ant Forest). Desert plants!
