In the Tang Dynasty, the original stone carving of Li Bai's inscription on Tianmen Mountain is rare.

Since ancient times, calendar has been an important place for military strategists to attack and defend. In the Spring and Autumn Period, Chu was captured by Wu. In the Southern Dynasties, Emperor Xiaowu of Song Dynasty once reviewed the water army here and ordered the establishment of Shuangque in Ershan. There is a Moon City on the mountain, which was built by the Song Dynasty general Wang to defend the imperial army. There were fortresses and city walls in the Qing Dynasty. There is nothing today. 1949, the people's liberation army fought fiercely for three days and conquered the position of Xiliangshan, which the Kuomintang army called "impregnable". In order to commemorate the martyrs in the battle of crossing the river, a monument to the people's heroes and a memorial pavilion were built in Yang Yang 1952, West Liangshan. After the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC), cable towers across the river were built at the top of Liang Dong and the foot of Xiliang Mountain.
