The Ming Tomb is the tomb of Emperor Zhu Youjue, the father of Emperor Jiajing of Ming Shizong. Ming Xianling Mausoleum is located on Chunde Mountain, 5 kilometers northeast of Zhongxiang City, Hubei Province. It was built in the 14th year of Ming Zhengde (1519) and completed in the 45th year of Ming Jiajing (1566) for 47 years.
The Ming Tombs, which people used to call the Imperial Tombs, are also called the Imperial City by the local people because the surrounding walls are closed. They are the burial tombs of Emperor Zhu Shiyuan, the biological father of Emperor Zhu Houzong of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty, and Empress Dowager Zhang Sheng, the biological mother.
It is located in Songlin Mountain, a branch of the southwest of Dahong Mountain, about 5 kilometers west of Zhongxiang City. The Weiling field, covering 27 hectares and 47 acres, occupies the whole Pine Forest Mountain and is the largest single imperial mausoleum in China in the Ming Dynasty.
The Ming Tombs are a part of the imperial tombs of the ming and qing dynasties, and they are the material evidence of the "Great Etiquette", a major historical event in the early Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty. Zhu Shiyuan, the fourth son of Zhu Jianshen, Emperor Xianzong of the Ming Dynasty, was born in the 12th year of Chenghua (1476). In the twenty-third year of Chenghua, he was crowned King Xing. In the fourth year of Hongzhi's reign, the mansion of Jiujiang was built in De 'an, and later it was changed to Huguang Anluzhou.
on September 18th, Hongzhi's seventh year, he was in Anluzhou (now Zhongxiang City). On June 17th, the 14th year of Zhengde, he died at the age of 44. Posthumous title presents the king. Buried in Chunde Mountain in the northeast of Zhongxiang City.

In October of the sixteenth year of Zhengde, Zhu Shiyuan was promoted as "Xing Xian Di"; In the second year of Jiajing, he ordered Xian Di's temple to enjoy the worship and use eight flowers.
In the third year of Jiajing, he was honored as "offering the emperor" in March, and in July, he offered the emperor the honor of "offering the emperor in the east room of Fengxian Hall", which led to the famous "Zuo Shunmen crying incident", which was quelled by the court staff.
In September of the fifth year of Jiajing, Feng 'an presented the emperor to the World Temple. In September, the seventeenth year of Jiajing, Hong Deyuan, Ren Kuan Mu Chun Sheng Gong Jian, respected the literature emperor, and the temple number was Rui Zong. In the twenty-seventh year, congratulations on offering the emperor God to the ancestral temple, ranking above Wuzong.
After Zhu Shiyuan was revered as the emperor, the original tomb of Xing Xian Wang was upgraded and converted into a mausoleum according to the regulations of the Mausoleum. From the portrait of Zhu Shiyuan, "Emperor Rui Zong Gong Mu Xian", Zhu Shiyuan was dressed in a dragon robe, no different from his father and sons.
