Where is the Tree Top Hotel?
Treetop Lodge is located in Aberdare National Park in the Central Plateau (Central Province) of Kenya. The hotel has dozens of rooms and can accommodate more than 100 tourists at a time.
The Treetop Hotel is located in the east of the zoo, near the town of Nyeri. "Tree Top" was built before Kenya's independence and was named after it was built on the tops of several large trees. In February 1952, the then British Princess Elizabeth received the news of the death of her father, King George VI, while visiting the "Tree Top" in Ken. In the same year, a fire destroyed the "Tree Top" where the original princess stayed, and it was rebuilt opposite the original site in 1954. In 1983, Queen Elizabeth revisited her hometown and stayed in the Queen's Suite. As a result, "Treetops" has become a household name in the UK, and its tourists often regard "Treetops" as their first choice for travel to Kenya.

The "Treetop" is a three-story all-wood structure building that can accommodate about 100 people for food and accommodation. "Tree Top" has been rebuilt many times, and it was repaired and renovated again in the first half of 1996, but it basically maintains its original appearance. Every evening, herds of elephants and bison come downstairs to eat salt (artificially spread on the ground) and other minerals. Various animals and birds also come to the pond to drink water, creating a beautiful dusk scene. . When the morning light first appears, all kinds of animals come in droves. Visitors often stop to admire it before leaving, and never want to leave.
The early treetop hotels were built entirely on the branches of a few large trees. They were all-wood structures. They were relatively simple at the time and were small-scale "stilted buildings". They were mainly used to serve British military and political officials stationed in Kenya as well as Western Expeditions offers wildlife viewing services. Later, it became famous and attracted an endless stream of tourists, so a large-scale expansion was carried out next to the original site.
The current building is still an all-wood structure and basically maintains the original simple style and wild charm, except that the big tree branches have been replaced by dozens of large wooden pillars. The ground floor of the building is high in the sky, and there are three floors above. There are guest rooms on each floor, viewing corridors at both ends, and a wide viewing platform on the top floor.
In addition to enjoying the beautiful scenery around the hotel, people can also use the food provided by the hotel to entertain various birds flying around and white-tailed monkeys and baboons jumping up and down. There are several large natural ponds behind the hotel. There are crocodiles and turtles in the ponds, and in the middle there is a piece of land covered by reeds with piles of bird eggs on it.

The hotel has dozens of rooms and can accommodate 100 people at a time Many visitors. Abaldera Wildlife Park is about 1,200 meters above sea level and covers an area of ??about 400 square kilometers. In other wildlife parks, people can usually drive around and watch the animals. Abaldera is a wilderness, infested by wild animals and full of dangers. Therefore, once you go to the treetop hotel, you cannot come down casually, you can only stay up there and watch the animals. Tourists are generally picked up about 200 meters away from the hotel by a hotel car. Tourists are escorted by several gun-wielding staff and enter the hotel through a special passage. In order to protect the ecological environment and prevent fire, the hotel never lights fireworks. All food is prepared at the reception station and transported to the hotel, and then heated in a microwave oven.
In addition to watching animals, there is also a special performance at the treetop hotel. At night, the hotel turns on a special searchlight to illuminate an open space on the left side of the downstairs, and starts a performance of "Feeding Salt to the Elephants". The staff sprinkled the salt on the ground, and dozens of elephants waiting there scrambled to roll up the salt from the ground with their long trunks and put it into their mouths. They repeated this endlessly until all the salt on the ground was eaten up. The elephant was still leaning on the ground with its trunk, unwilling to leave. I asked the waiter why the elephants like to eat salt. They only knew that this is a traditional performance that the hotel has maintained for many years. They couldn't explain why the elephants were fed salt or why they loved salt.
